December 17, 20169 yr Maybe the media don't realise it has no streaming, and as it's the first flash of the Christmas chart ran with it?
December 17, 20169 yr London Choir is only 41 on iTunes so the early data doesn't look right. There are physicals
December 17, 20169 yr So, with streams added Louis can stay Top 5? He's at #12 on Spotify. He's only 12 thanks to the NMF playlist. He'll prob be low top 20 tomorrow
December 18, 20169 yr The OCC have - to their credit - made clear in the article that (most) streams aren't included in the data and that pre-orders will have an influence, as well as that things could change over the week. I'm surprised that some people have such visceral hatred of charity records that they find this an objectionable thing to do.
December 18, 20169 yr Rockabye probably has got it. Although it will be interesting to see how much the charity singles have sold on cd.
December 18, 20169 yr There's definitely some sort of ulterior motive behind it. I just hope the media don't run with this next week, branding it as a close race to no 1. I saw it more as a way of promoting the charity records this week, which I have zero problems with. This is the busiest and most popular chart of the year, so makes sense that the OCC will post more updates on it.
December 18, 20169 yr I don't mind a charity single being no1 or clean Bandit. Anything apart from X factor or any of their related acts.

I just find it so misleading saying it's 'CLOSE' they aren't silly, they know full well it's not close at all when streams are added in. I just thought it was a deliberate attempt to push the charity singles. Be interesting to see if Monday's Radio 1 update will include streams or still be 'missing' data.
December 18, 20169 yr Nice to see oops top 40 shame its unlikely to stay little mix could have had 3 top 40s simultaneously

Most of our updates usually have missing data from the previous day, I can't see OCC be any different.
December 18, 20169 yr Author I think Saturday updates are totally pointless, especially when taking into account the public will be none the wiser.
December 18, 20169 yr Certainly for singles the Saturday update is pointless, I guess not so for albums?
December 18, 20169 yr Why was True Colours by Anna Kenderick/Justin Timberlake considered a contender for Christmas number one, it's nowhere to be seen in the midweeks
December 18, 20169 yr 31 MISS YOU GABRIELLE APLIN I wish this is the position for her on Friday  (certrainly not wishful thinking) :(
