Posted December 21, 20168 yr 'Everday' is reportedly the next single to be taken from Ariana's 3rd studio album, 'Dangerous Woman'! So happy with this choice!
December 21, 20168 yr As a non-Ariana fan, I guess 'Everyday' is generic, but it's by no means the worst choice. I would have preferred 'Greedy' as well though
December 21, 20168 yr Her company and team are really recognizing her as an urban-pop artist recently and rightfully so - the quality of her material shows that both can work and become huge smashes without devolving into one or the other. This is a little more urban than pop - I mean, Future doesn't really have much of a pop audience - but I think at this time they're focusing on the longevity of the era and shifting more album sales, which he can easily do, and to keep Ari's name on the radio while promoting the tour. I still really hope "Greedy" is a single, even if it is to close the era with a song by herself like with My Everything.
December 21, 20168 yr NOT GREEDY!?! I don't mind this as a single, but it better perform bloody well because we all want Greedy as a single. EDIT: Excuse me whilst I book myself onto the next flight to New York to slap someone stupid. Edited December 21, 20168 yr by Juliano
December 21, 20168 yr I don't get the appeal with Greedy... it sounds so dated. I don't think Everyday is up to much either. The lack of a decent chorus would be alright if the beat or synth really kicked in but it's all a bit limp. I'm more here for Touch It or Be Alright. Edited December 21, 20168 yr by Ashley
December 21, 20168 yr I love 'Greedy' but hennies the public won't be there for it. 'Everyday' is the right choice.
December 21, 20168 yr I love 'Greedy' but hennies the public won't be there for it. 'Everyday' is the right choice. Yes they will, every time I've gave it a spin in front of people who are not familiar with it, they have said "What is that song?! I love it!", even my best friend and getting her to like pop is a mission in itself. What I used to find as well when I did my internet radio thing, people didn't like a song that wasn't in the charts (I would add songs to the playlist if it was announced as next single, as I will be doing on my spotify playlist with Everyday), but after it takes off suddenly everyone starts requesting it and saying how much they love it. I'm really hoping the GP will love Everyday, I'm sure they will. Interested to see what she does for the video.
December 21, 20168 yr I think it'll be too late for 'Greedy' to do anything if they even go with it as the next single, it needed to be now. :( This kind of feels like it's ruined such a flawless singles run from this album... I mean it's a decent track, but such a random choice? Edited December 21, 20168 yr by mr_pmt
December 21, 20168 yr Author I don't think it's random at all tbh. Well, from a UK perspective perhaps, but I assume US radio will eat this up much like they did with 'Love Me Harder'!
December 21, 20168 yr 'Greedy' is even bigger and poppier than 'Break Free' and 'Into You'. I definitely think it would have been a hit.
December 22, 20168 yr Please let's not write it off as next single already before my heart tears. She has already been talking about the next album as well, so I think we are running out of time. But I am determined!!
December 24, 20168 yr A nice cut this! Now I need to hear Greedy given all the praise it's getting...
December 24, 20168 yr I'm okay with this choice because it's not a bad song! But I can't help but wonder why they didn't choose Greedy, Touch It, or even do an actual single release of Be Alright...?
