Honey G will be let down by streaming but will still be a big hit for her. Am sure she will have a career similar to Chico!

Doesn't sound a hit, but WizKid could have a successful year in 2017. Signed to a major label and the Afrobeat/Dancehall sound could continue to dominate.

He's a cracking artist IMO, been on so many great songs in 2015/16!

Same with Popcaan!

Yeah I think next year could be the year of Afrobeat! We've seen a rise in Dancehall in recent months and what with him, Sean Paul, Major Lazer and Popcaan among others getting lots of mainstream success of late it looks like the next 'big' genre (after tropical house) could be dancehall/afrobeat. Obviously it could be anything but if I had to guess what the next viral/prominent genre was I'd go for that.

I loved Danza Kuduro and that is kuduro, which is linked to afrobeat iirc, so if more of this sort of thing came back it would be excellent.

Less minimal and livelier dance music like there was in the 00s or in 2015 with Can't Stop Playing, The Girl Is Mine or So Freakin Tight will hopefully come back, as a lot of the dance music this year has been minimal and quite dull imo. In terms of more lively dance music we have Everytime It Rains hopefully being a hit.

Hopefully we get a big comeback from Fuse ODG then :cheer:

He's already done collabs with Major Lazer and Sean Paul, so hopefully a Fuse ODG feat Drake single is next :cheer:

But future bass/trap is the big genre with tropical house at the minute and it just as overused (by The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake and Major Lazer amongst others), are we expecting that to die out in 2017 as a chart force like tropical house.probably will.
762. Alan Walker & David Whistle - Routine

This is the best track from Alan Walker apart from the Move Your Body remix. At least he seems to be increasing the bpm a bit now  I wonder will Move Your Body (Alan Walker remix) be released?

Honey G already falling

Coming for that #47 debut officially please

I seriously hope she flops. I can't believe they chose to promote her single in the final instead of a genuinely talented former contestant like James Arthur, Louisa Johnson, or tons of others.

45. Katie Melua - The Little Swallow

Pleased to see this - Also her album has got a huge boost and is #14 on iTunes. Such a strong album from her after a few dodgy ones!

Tbf, not like any other show would be willing to promote her. Simon wants to at least make his investment costs back on the track.

Yeh she was on Graham Norton and I think the one show in the last week. Why didn't she promo earlier in December??

The Christmas songs starting their usual few % points rises until they fall tomorrow!

So will iTunes crash tonight and return on Boxing Day night refreshed for 2017?
