Liar had a series average of 8.93m - that's the second highest average for an ITV drama this year, behind Broadchurch with 11.59m (that's in fact the highest average for any drama this year).

 

Huge time-shift for Gunpowder! Even higher than the time-shift of 1.53m that episode 1 of Taboo, BBC 1's previous Saturday night drama, received for its 28-day data.

 

Series 7 of Cold Feet had an average of 5.84m - that's 1.82m down on the average for Series 6, the first since the revival (7.66m).

That is one of X Factors highest ratings for this series.

I'd be up for seeing Leona Lewis perform “One More Sleep” in a stable complete with festive manger. I think John Craven, Matt Baker and Adam Henson dressed as the 'three wise men' bearing gifts for the newborn (foal) would be a televisual gold moment.

 

The Farm could make a comeback with “Altogether Now”, Bat for Lashes could do an acoustic set near some bat boxes at night, and obviously Blue Oyster Cult would do “(Don't Fear) The Reaper” in the cow shed.
