August 2, 20177 yr Is it supposed to say I'm Yours by Ariana Grande. If so I'm not sure I know that one so surprised to see it platinum
August 3, 20177 yr Ariana Grande - I'm Yours (#13) Is this supposed to say "Into You"? Ariana Grande doesn't have any #13 peaking songs AFAIK but "Into You" did peak at #14.
August 3, 20177 yr 14 July 2017 'The Power of Love' was on 192k by the end of 1994, so clearly its sales have been downgraded. In fact, the OCC gave a total of 157k in November 2013, so 43k in 44 months. The sales for 'The Power Of Love' that the OCC hold for 1994 would be a lot lower than 192k. Not only because the OCC product database only contains sales data collected by Millward Brown, which back in 1994 accounted for only about 70% of the singles market (the 192k figure is calculated using the old chart panel sales x multiplier method) but also the first two weeks sales of the single will be missing as MB only began to collect sales information from week 5, 1994 when the record climbed to number 4.
September 7, 20177 yr Don't worry - they are still working on their new site. It was released too early. Next update 1st October? and a search result They need to add a few numbers to these charts. Are they adding in previous awards by DISC magazine? Obviously these are wrong.
September 7, 20177 yr The BPI have mananged to take a slightly less than friendly user interface for their certifications database and turn it into a total mess with the new website... Whoever designed the website and the certifications database needs sacking. Edited September 7, 20177 yr by Robbie
September 7, 20177 yr The BPI have mananged to take a slightly less than friendly user interface for their certifications database and turn it into a total mess with the new website... Whoever designed the website and the certifications database needs sacking. Exactly. The old site wasn't very friendly to search on but the new one is horrible! It's like they found a way to make everything worse... sheesh.
September 8, 20177 yr Malibu officially certified GOLD !! for a #11 peaking single !! this song has certainly SLAYYYEDD !!
September 11, 20177 yr BPI web site is improving. Now showing multi-platinum figures. Search facility is still very poor - they should have a look at the RIAA advanced search facility. Album covers not yet available. Line graphs are just silly - would not pass a GCSE exam. Edited September 11, 20177 yr by ben08
September 11, 20177 yr Certification levels now updated. Aren't these the same as always? BPI web site is improving. Now showing multi-platinum figures. Search facility is still very poor - they should have a look at the RIAA advanced search facility. Album covers not yet available. Line graphs are just silly - would not pass a GCSE exam. I can't work out how to get it to list all the new certs from last Friday?
September 12, 20177 yr Yes, now back to normal levels. I was comparing with my first post which indicated multiples of 50k. The latest certs for 8th September are not yet available on the BPI web site. Go to search filter. Click on certification date. Select date range (for example, Saturday 15th April to Friday 21st April 8th). Then you will see all the certifications awarded on 21st April 2017. Not very friendly!
