Ok so we are only 18 months through this parliament but so much has happened - who will you vote for in the next election - we all know certain members have changed allegiances but will you vote for your usual party?

Still Lib Dems, been voting for them the last 8 years and don't see any reason to change now.

Well Steve, me & you are going to be voting in an election a little bit sooner than everyone else, albeit not a General one, but that's another story!

 

If I'm still in the same constituency when the next General Election happens, then I guess I'd probably grativate to either SDLP or Alliance, depending on who the candidate is, although I would very much be a floating voter. If I were to move to England before then, then once again, I remain a floating voter, in the order I would probably gravitate towards would likely be Labour/Conservative/Lib Dem.

Well this is it another NI GE on the 2nd March - I'm not at all sure who to vote for in that but just hope enough (middle class) unionists are disillusioned by the DUP that they lose 9 seats to disable their ability to use the veto of concern over all progressive legislation.

 

If I was English I would vote for Labour but over here I would vote for either SF/NI Labour/People Before Profit/Greens.

I shall continue my fruitless, but principled, voting for the Alliance party. I can't QUITE bring myself to vote for a Nationalist party, so it's the between them and the UUP.

I'm interested by your answer to see you WOULD possibly consider voting nationalist?

It depends on what issue/series of issues I'm taking into consideration. There's always the conundrum between voting with my heart on social issues, which I would side most strongly with Sinn Fein, or my head on economic issues which is what draws me to Alliance and the UUP (though obviously their policies are quite different, but both represent a version of what I'd like to see).

UUP are less right wing than DUP if I remember correctly.

 

Would vote Green Party or maybe Alliance myself.

Lib Dem. I have only ever voted Liberal/Libdem or not voted at all. That will never change unless some other sane party with principles comes along.

With Theresa May having gone from having been a Remainer to being a hard Brexiteer now (hypocritical, at least Trump for all his massive flaws seems to stick to his original beliefs (and remember Brexit was generally based on similar zenophobic values as to what got Trump elected so for me there is not much comparison between Brexit and Trump in terms of zenophobia and imo pointless isolationalism)), it seems more people will be leaving/ less people will be supporting the Conservative Party. The problem is Corbyn being very left wing, the anti-Semitism and terrorist group sympathising accusations (not saying they are true though but the media spotlight on these things would create a negative effect on the Labour party) going on with some elements of his party and the Lib Dem revival as Lotti has said, meaning the Remainer 48% vote will be split and the Conservatives will still be elected. If I was living in England, I would vote Lib Dems btw.
