Er, no. Jack followed him to the shop and was the one that punched.

Jack, it was assault you absolute tool. Get locked away for life please, horrible man/character/PRESENCE ON MY SCREEN.

Loved the Denise/Michelle scenes too. I have grown to accept the ludicrous unrealistic nature of the show and how it deals with some of these themes and now I can embrace it.

It absolutely was assault, not a playground scuffle. They aren't 15 year olds on a school ground!

Also, Lee Ryan is absolutely NOT honed to perection and is already on the track of being like Ian Beale in the future.

I was thinking something similar to this too. Like, I hated all the run up with their storylines, how they brought on everything that's happened themselves and how they've been reveling in their own self-pitying but, taking scenes like the ones we saw tonight as stand-alone scenes and ignoring context, I could really enjoy them.

I literally have no clue what Max is up to. There seems to be no motive or logic at all, apart from "ooh Max is bad now!!"

The "Max gives evil look to the camera" duff duffs are getting a bit tiresome now.

And how patronising was that slimming class? It was more like a Little Britain sketch.

Waiting for Marjorie to turn up

Nice little nod to Redwater starting this week with Kat and Alfie off to Ireland

Am I the only one concerned at the fact Honey hasn't noticed that her children have disappeared.

The metaphor of comparing Lee and Whitney's marriage to a broken nail only re-enforced everything I hate about Whitney and the way she viewed her marriage. Unreasonable behaviour is right.

Why did we have a 10-15 second scene of Denise sitting on a bench doing nothing when she left the job centre?

Why are we getting actual investigation scenes into Jack and Charlie's scuffle? I can't deal with how boring this soap is these days, I just can't :(

Oh no -they really ARE doing a Sputh Park SoDo SoPa gentrification of cities storyline

"Come stay with Abi and Ben in a formerly abusive, now Monopoly-playing, household, replete with rustic window netting and a large, communal tv, with history views of Kenny's House.'

If one of the first scenes tomorrow is Cora chasing after Denise then you have to question just how quick Woody and Whitney were...
Denise is such an idiot :/ She has too much pride to ask her sister for some money for food but will happily take leftover chicken off a bin.

Loving Cora, I think the extended break has done the character a world of good.

Whereas Mick's break has ended much too quickly.
