February 26, 20178 yr I've felt like that for over a year now - I find the only way to get around it is to just send something you won't regret sending if it DNQs. Primary mode for me now full steam ahead and I'm having so much fun doing it it doesn't matter one bit that I haven't had a qualifier yet this year. I had felt like I'd lost touch with what does well within the contest lately but the results so far seem to be proving otherwise so I'd be all for it remaining this way.

Exactly - and I don't wish to sound grumbly about it either, I have had a more than decent enough run at this thing and am quite happy suffering DNQs - getting something unexpected through to the final is sometimes a better feeling than finishing top 10 anyway - and doing both is obviously even better!
