Top tune from Gaga, finally we have "The Fame" Lady Gaga back, that Superbowl performance earlier this year may just have put her career back on track.

It got to 54 yesterday. It's a hideous song!

This is Just Dance 2.0 in terms of genericness for her standards. This will test if she has a proper pop career anymore, Perfect Illusion and Million Reasons were not very commercial and you could argue thats why they flopped. But if this flops she would seems to be over. Its a bop all the same but extremely generic. Will it be a hit?

Interesting that you think that, but I think 'Just Dance' wasn't generic at the time. It was pretty fresh for a pop song! It only feels generic now because it's very "of it's time" (although it's still one of my fave Gaga songs!) and it got re-done so many times by other artists. Definitely didn't feel as generic as (for example) 'Telephone' did when that got released, imo.

 

I also don't think it matters if this "flops" or not. I can't see it being on her next album and whilst I watched the performance of it, I was thinking that she only did this for Coachella and for the fans, really. If it catches on, bonus.

Nice to see she's back to something more akin to her fame era but it does sound too simplistic on a first listen. Much prefer Perfect Illusion. I wonder how this will hold up, can see it being a top 10 hit for her though.

Do agree though about expecting it to Top 40. I'll think it'll struggle even with some radio support, it's their worst song to this date but hey I still love it! :lol:

The UK loves this kind of music, her most generic song ever. It will be a hit for sure!
