He embarked on his musical career as a teenager under the stage name K-Dot, releasing a mixtape that garnered local attention and led to his signing with indie record label Top Dawg Entertainment (TDE). He began to gain major recognition in 2010, after his first retail release, Overly Dedicated. The following year, Lamar independently released his first studio album, Section.80, which included his debut single, "HiiiPoWeR". By that time, he had amassed a large Internet following and collaborated with several artists in the hip hop industry, including The Game, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne. Lamar secured a major-label record deal with Aftermath and Interscope Records, in 2012. His major-label debut, good kid, m.A.A.d city, was released in October 2012 to critical success. The record contained the top 40 singles "Swimming Pools (Drank)", "Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe", and "Poetic Justice". It debuted at number two on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Lamar won his first Grammy Award for "i", lead single from his critical acclaimed third album To Pimp a Butterfly (2015). The album drew on free jazz, funk, soul, and spoken word, debuted atop the charts in the U.S. and the UK, and won the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album at the 58th ceremony. In 2016, Lamar released untitled unmastered., a collection of unreleased demos that originated during the recording sessions for Butterfly. Lamar has received a number of accolades over the course of his career, including seven Grammy Awards. In early 2013, MTV named Lamar the number one "Hottest MC in the Game", on their annual list. Time named Lamar one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2016. Aside from his solo career, Lamar is also known as a member of the West Coast hip hop supergroup Black Hippy, alongside his TDE label-mates and fellow South Los Angeles-based rappers Ab-Soul, Jay Rock and Schoolboy Q. - Wikipedia Top 100 Chart History 2012 57 Swimming Pools (Drank) -1- 2013 50 F**kin' Problems (A$AP Rocky feat. April 28, 20179 yr Oh that is a rather lovely ray of light to see Paramore in the top 40. Song's not even that much of a sellout from their previous stuff now I've gotten used to it.
April 28, 20179 yr Places is quite good but I wish it was Do It Right getting this success :( I'm still so gutted that DIR didn't become the smash chart hit that it should've been :(
April 28, 20179 yr This isn't pop  (and you can't call Maroon 5 a rock band... they've been making pop for over 6 years now) It's certainly the most pop-ish track that they've ever done. I guess in this day and age, asking for a legitimate rock tune in the top 40 is too much to ask.

Growing up on early blues and soul, he taught himself to sing by mimicking Muddy Waters, before discovering hip-hop. Starting out in music at age 15 as an MC with a local drum'n'bass crew, he progressed to hip-hop open-mike nights in nearby Brighton, where he later moved, teaming up with local hip-hop crew the Rum Committee. At the same time, he continued to practice singing in private. Aged 19, he took part in a blues open-mike night at the encouragement of his father, and the rapturous response to his singing boosted his confidence enough to make him consider it as a career rather than rapping. Graham's moniker came from his childhood memories of he and his grandfather watching repeats of the British '60s sitcom Steptoe and Son, about a pair of rag-and-bone men -- dirt-poor street collectors who in bygone days would go around gathering up rubbish in an attempt to find useful rags, bones, and scrap metal that could be sold to merchants for a few pennies. With his massive bulk, tattoo-covered arms, nose ring, shaved head, enormous beard, and typical garb of hoodie and jeans, Graham looked like an escapee from an early-2000s nu-metal band, but blew crowds away as soon as he opened his mouth with his deep, powerful, soulful, bluesy vocals. He released his debut EP, Bluestown, in 2012, followed by several EPs in the next few years, the highest profile of which were Wolves and Disfigured in 2015. His early releases were more acoustic, but evolved toward a more electronic sound with hip-hop-styled beats. In 2013, he signed a publishing deal with Warner Chappell, allowing him to give up his day job as a carer for people with Asperger's Syndrome. His increasing profile brought him to the attention of Columbia Records, who signed him in 2016. His debut single for Columbia, "Human," dropped in September of that year and was a big hit in several European countries, topping the charts in Germany. The single was taken from his debut album, which was scheduled for release the following year. - iTunes Top 100 Chart History 2016 02 Human -1- 2017 17 Skin -2- Social Media http://i.imgur.com/sx7weFD.png http://i.imgur.com/P4ObJLe.png http://i.imgur.com/TUafYW0.png http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/MarthaJonesFan/Discuss%20On%20Buzzjack.png ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 30 28 13 Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa Scared To Be Lonely +× | 2017 http://is3.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/Music111/v4/a0/4e/3a/a04e3a35-bffa-60a4-c751-eb7568b26956/source/170x170bb.jpg Chart Run NE (09/02/2017) | 23-14-14-16-15-27-25-30-20-18-21-28-30 Information Release date: 27-01-2017 Format: digital single Label: STMPD RCRDS Chart sales: 300k+ Sales only chart peak: 11 Streaming only chart peak: 13 Video e2vBLd5Egnk Biography Martin Garrix Martijn Gerard Garritsen, better known by his stage name Martin Garrix (stylized Mar+in Garri×), is a Dutch DJ, record producer and musician. Duvall and Koolmon previously recorded under the aliases Stylistix ("How Soon") and Kool & Duvall ("U Lift Me Up"). The trio debuted in 2013 on the New State Music label with Remedy EP, the title track of which was played by BBC DJs Target and Trevor Nelson. Their profile increased after they signed to Pete Tong's Parlophone-supported FFRR label, where they issued 2014-2015 singles such as "Catwalk" and "They Don't Know," the latter of which went to number 24 on the U.K. pop chart. That success primed them for a couple major collaborations issued during the second half of 2015: "Yellow," with Robin Schulz, and "How Deep Is Your Love," made with songwriter/vocalist Ina Wroldsen and co-producer Calvin Harris. The latter song narrowly missed the top of the U.K. chart, reached the Top 30 of the U.S. Hot 100, and made major impressions in several other territories.
