Biography

Elizabeth Woolridge Grant (born June 21, 1985), better known by her stage name Lana Del Rey, is an American singer, songwriter, and model. Her music has been noted for its cinematic style, its preoccupation with themes of tragic romance and melancholia, and its references to pop culture, particularly 1950s and 1960s Americana.

Born and raised in New York, Del Rey embarked on a music career in 2005 and first received widespread attention in 2011, when the music video for her single "Video Games" became a viral internet sensation. Del Rey received further recognition after her major-label debut Born to Die peaked at number two on the United States charts and was the fifth best-selling album of 2012. A remix of its single "Summertime Sadness", produced by Cedric Gervais, peaked at number six on the United States, and the Paradise EP followed that November, garnering Del Rey her first Grammy nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. Three of the EP's tracks were featured in her short film Tropico, which premiered in December 2013.

In 2014, Del Rey released her third studio album, Ultraviolence; it became her first number-one album in the United States. In 2015, following a North American tour with Courtney Love and Grimes, Del Rey released her fourth studio album, Honeymoon. Both albums received positive critical response. Del Rey is set to release her fifth studio album, titled Lust for Life, in 2017. - Wikipedia

Lust For Life is sfg and one of the best songs of the year, so so happy

That Cheat Codes/Demi song wasn't really anything special on first listen. Kept expecting it to morph into 'What's My Name?' every time he said "ooh na na..." :kink:

YAAAY for Lana and The Weeknd making it after 'Love' didn't quite  this is so lush, really looking forward to the album!

Hey guys! Awesome to see Cheat Codes and Lana Del Rey enter - two solid tracks

Looking forward to seeing where Luis Fonsi, French Montana, Shawn Mendes and Paramore land! :D

Biography

Starley is a dance-pop singer/songwriter from Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. A music lover since childhood, she moved to London to pursue a career in music, eventually working with a variety of producers and songwriters throughout the U.K., Sweden, and the United States. It wasn't until she moved back to Australia that her career began to take off. In 2016, she was the featured vocalist on Odd Mob's "Into You," which went to number one on the Australian club charts. She signed with Australian label Tinted Records, and her solo debut, "Call on Me," a light, catchy pop tune, was a bigger international hit, charting in over a dozen countries and earning the singer comparisons to Ellie Goulding. - iTunes

Information

These are intense times, but Katy Perry is here to remind us to have fun. A breathy, bombastic blend of dancehall and disco with an empowering verse from Skip Marley—grandson of Bob Marley—the song is a plea to set aside our differences and find unity on the dance floor. She sings: "Turn it up, it’s your favorite song/Dance-dance-dance to the distortion/So put your rose-coloured glasses on/And party on." - iTunes

Biography

Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known professionally as Katy Perry, is an American singer and songwriter. After singing in church during her childhood, she pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager. Perry signed with Red Hill Records and released her debut studio album Katy Hudson under her birth name in 2001, which was commercially unsuccessful. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin. After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.

Perry rose to fame in 2008 with the release of the singles "I Kissed a Girl"—which sparked controversy for its homosexual themes—and "Hot n Cold" from her second album, a pop rock record titled One of the Boys. Her third album, Teenage Dream (2010), ventured into disco, and contained the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T.", and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" as well as the number-three single "The One That Got Away". The album became the first by a female artist to produce five number-one songs in the U.S., and the second overall after Michael Jackson's album Bad. In March 2012, she re-issued the album as Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, which produced the songs "Part of Me" and "Wide Awake". Her fourth album, Prism, was released in 2013, and is influenced by pop and dance. She became the first artist with multiple videos to reach one billion views on Vevo with the videos for its songs "Roar" and "Dark Horse".

Perry has received many awards, including four Guinness World Records, a Brit Award, and a Juno Award, and been included in the Forbes list of "Top-Earning Women In Music" (2011–2016). Her estimated net worth as of 2016 is $125 million. She is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, having sold 100 million records globally throughout her career. In film, she released an autobiographical documentary titled Katy Perry: Part of Me in 2012, and voiced Smurfette in the 2011 film The Smurfs and its sequel in 2013. - Wikipedia
