at least Miley realized the occasion was to honor the victims of not promote your new single like Niall did.... Malibu would have been way more appropriate to sing at a Benefit Concert than Slow Hands... it didn't mesh well at all when Niall performed that felt cringe to me

Well Niall doesn't exactly have a lot of singles to choose from does he...

It wasn't just about honouring the victims as much as that was a part of it though. It was about having a good time and showing that nothing or no-one can prevent people from enjoying music at concerts. Slow Hands fits the latter part much more, while This Town worked better as a tribute. Katy Perry was similar, singing an acoustic Part of Me to honour the victims and Roar to give the crowd a great time.

Unfortunately Niall wasn't deciding between Slow Hands and Malibu... he was choosing between, you know, the only two singles he's released  even Ari said she wants the HITS being performed because it was a celebration of music and freedom and love (a song that Slow Hands represents too!)

And it obviously connected with the public given how well it's doing post-concert.

I would've said Little Mix dressing as hookers was more cringe and inappropriate

Yes, their clothing really mattered when they took time out from their tour to perform at a benefit gig and help raise money  I really don't see why it's any kind of problem, Ari obviously didn't want the gig to be all doom and gloom after all.

 surely it doesn't matter what they dress like, it's their choice and their bodies...

Off course

My point was if you're going to complain about inappropriateness at all then there are more obvious things that can be pointed out. that was all

I wouldn't say the increasing sexualisation of Little Mix from when they started is really appropriate anyway considering the young age of a lot of their fans.

Hardly. Beyonce shows just as much in her stage outfits and she's never branded a hooker.

I don't think it is appropriate to criticise any of the performers considering what it was for. Niall performing Slow Hands wasn't exactly fitting but it's far more suitable than, say, Tom Jones performing Sex Bomb or something. There was a bit in Don't Dream It's Over where Miley came in and it sounded very jarring  but in the grand scheme of things, she brought such a positive energy that none of the technical things really mattered. The whole concert was such a success tbh.

Seriously you must be an expert on hookers because they looked nothing like them to me and its a benefit gig it shouldn't matter what any of them sang (bang bang aside ) or wore just that it raised money and the crowd enjoyed it if anyone gets a chart boost surely that's a sign the crowd enjoyed it

It seems silly to still be calls fifth harmony with only 4 members

Yes I was thinking they might have renamed themselves Fourth Harmony when Camila left the group, but I suppose it would have cost a lot in rebranding and also if anyone looked up Fifth Harmony on itunes or spotify and the band had renamed for their recent material people may not be able to find their new songs.

I think it was pretty obvious that Little Mix were wearing their stage costumes that they would have used for BGT? So I don't see why there is an issue with them not letting them go to waste? Also, can we please not be this degrading to women, it is disgusting. They are not 'hookers', it is a stage costume?

I assume this is right. Not much point rebranding when people already know Fifth Harmony pretty well. Besides, Maroon 5 have six members and nobody seems to bat an eyelid over that :kink:

Maroon 5 are the reverse arnt they started with 5 and added a 6th

I think with bands like maroon 5 and the script people don't notice because they only have 1 or 2 dominate singers the rest are drummers or guitarist and very rarely sing

I dunno I suppose s club 7 dropped the 7 when 1 left probably because that was easier than fifth harmony swapping to fourth

Nobody would bat an eyelid if Justin Bieber or Niall had half their body on show I'm sure, but Little Mix have to wear burqas to avoid being $l*t shamed... It was all for a good cause, there are much more important things than who sang what "inappropriate" songs or who wore the wrong thing. It was just about being a normal pop concert to show terrorists and attackers that we won't be scared and halt what we normally do.
41. Vengaboys - Boom Boom Boom Boom

With the amount of nostalgia for the Vengaboys and Steps recently, hopefully a Eurodance revival in the charts may happen in the future.

Well it wasn;t really inappropriate since they literally went against everything these terrorists want.

I doubt that very much ngl
