I'm hoping that Arsenal will win against Man City but I don't expect them to get anything in that match. We'll probably park the bus against Chelsea but if that leads to another 1-0 win then I'll be happy with that.

Leicester are up to their usual tricks of turning into the 2015/16 version of themselves straight after their manager gets sacked :drama:, it would take a brave person to take that job with those snakey set of players in the dressing room.

Man City will comfortably beat Arsenal, might even rack with a cricket score if Arsenal come out to play properly. I see Chelsea vs Man Utd as a draw.

Have Leicester actually been that bad this season? I don't think they have. And anyway, Everton are truly terrible. Hilarious that people thought they could be Top 4 challengers.

Leicester were in the relegation zone when Craig Shakespeare got sacked, I think they would have improved under Shakespeare but as we've seen before the Leicester board are very impatient.

Leicester could put up another league challenge if they switched their manager after every 6 games...

I must admit I was was one who was expecting at least a top 6 challenge again from Everton. It's like their outrageously hard start played on their minds from the outset & now it's having a knock-on effect. Well, that and losing one of the league's best strikers & replacing him with three number 10's.

The thing is with City is they are scoring goals for fun - well on track to pass 100 goals scored, they have a good defensive record and they are easy on the eye too. They look a lot stronger than last year. Saying that, I think an injury to De Bryne or Silva and they may struggle to pick teams off as easily.

I don't disagree that they could take 100 goals this year. But to call their defensive record 'good' is just hilarious. It's fine against the bottom rungs who pose no actual threat to them but against a well drilled attack they crumble faster than an English World Cup campaign.

They signed poor players in the summer. Perhaps if they signed Giroud/Costa then they might have a few extra points, but they literally did not sign a single player with pace. Not signing a good striker will really hurt them all season. They have a favourable run of games now so things might change, but I doubt it. I expect they will be stop start until they get their preferred manager.

Considering the way they play, I think they have done pretty well. Teams like Man City and Liverpool will always concede goals because the system they play unfortunately can make the vulnerable defensively. I have been mightily impressed by them so far.

That and the fact that the personnel in said defence is gash.

In a Fantasy Football League of just defenders, you wouldn't put anyone from the back of Pool or City near it.

I disagree. Individually they are not that bad - for example the Liverpool defence gets slaughtered yet in reality it is not that bad. We leak goals because it can be a product of how we play - just how Man Utd etc. struggle to score goals when they are playing for a draw. The problem can be (for both Man City and Liverpool) is our systems leave our defence isolated because we push up so high and have a lack of midfield screening. Probably doesn't help that neither team has a settled defence either.

Liverpool for example actually concede one of the fewest shots per game - it's just that when the opposition have got a chance this season they have usually buried it. Man City's defence looks a lot more solid this year because I think the team trusts the goalkeeper now. Liverpool's still struggles at times because as soon as any of our keepers balls up, the panic sets in for the rest of the team.

Sterling & Sane look like different players to last season. Quite frightening, especially when Jesus shows up as well.

They've conceded six goals in ten games. Make all the John Stones jokes you want, but that's a very good defensive record.
Please please please let Everton be in a relegation battle this season. Always funny when a big club is down the bottom, some of my earliest memories are of when West Ham and Leeds were relegated in the 2000s and how funny it was for everybody.

Plausibly I think it could happen! All depends on who they get as their boss. If they hire Unsworth then I personally believe that is a recipe for disaster. If they get Dyche/Allardyce then I think they will improve quite easily.

That's Bilic gone now surely and dare I suggest Pulis might not be too far behind the way they're playing right now...

Bring on tomorrow, absolutely massive game, anything less than a win & we're looking at a gargantuan 7 point gap at least after 11 games :/

Rumours that Bilic will be sacked and Moyes will be appointed on Monday.

Moyes and Neville... might jack my season ticket in. Relegation beckons.

West Ham are doomed if they get David Moyes as their manager! Moyes is like the grim reaper of football ever since he F'd us up a few seasons ago.

Thing is with West Ham yesterday was that Klopp just schooled Billic with tactics. Billic set up thinking we would come at the them all guns blazing and spread across the pitch. But we played a really narrow 4-4-2 that was compact and basically just waited for them to make a mistake and hit them on the counter attack. I don't think it was lack of passion etc. it was clear the players thought we would play our usual game and Billic had no answer until he brought Carroll on and they got Lanzini on the ball. The sad thing for West Ham is that David Moyes would be an absolutely garbage appointment. I think Wagner would be a really good appointment for them.

Yesterday was just typical of West Ham since the stadium move... a home thrashing, live on TV. The first goal, when it was three Liverpool attackers against Cresswell, was the kind of goal you'd expect to concede in the 90th minute chasing an equaliser. It keeps happening, too open defensively and the players seem unfit.

I really like Bilic, especially for that final season at Upton Park which seems a lifetime ago now. But we are going down as it stands, the next QPR or Villa or Sunderland. Moyes would be a terrible appointment, but who are we going to attract? The club is a mess of overpaid and underperforming players, interfering owners and a soul crushing stadium. Relegation would be a disaster.

Moyes will guarantee relegation. That would be an awful appointment. Hopefully it’s not a game that WH were never going to win that gets him the boot. They seem to have been pretty patient so far thankfully

I know what he was trying to do - we can be weak from set pieces so he tried to overload us, but when you win the ball and the player does not make the tackle it leaves you open. That 3rd goal was just a killer, honestly I think you might have come back at 1-2 as Carroll was causing us some problems and we took our time to adapt (until Can floored him).

You have all the infastructure to be a big club. I think the problem really is down to the strategy from your owners. Every season you chase players who you have no chance of getting and probably end up with your second or third choice signings. I don't think the stadium helps matters, but appointing Moyes is a one way ticket to relegation. You might as well go back for Big Sam - at least you could guarantee he would keep you up.

Massive day of Premier League football today, possibly the biggest of the season far. In terms of entertainment it's the Man City vs Arsenal match that I'm looking forward to the most and I think that has the potential to be the match of the season so far. The Chelsea vs Man United match will probably be quite a dull and close match but I'm hoping that United win which is the most important thing.
