Played for the draw and got beat. It really is terrible, Chelsea were there for the taking today but I thought they were the better side by far. I just honestly cannot believe how far Man Utd's standards have fallen away from home against the big teams. Going to be miles out of the title race by the time they play Man City at this point.

Yep not wrong. Sadly can't see us ever being a genuine title contenders with Mourinho at the helm, he is just absolutely clueless when it comes to playing away at the big teams, never ever has a plan B (well, an effective one). There's always gonna be a shock defeat or 2 at some point in the season (see: Huddersfield away) but you're basically throwing away 12 points by default every season under him.

Chelsea are the only ones who can realistically catch City, Spurs are far too inconsistent themselves too.

Not a chance will the title be going to Old Trafford if today is anything to go by they look a long way of from City.

Not surprised given our poor away record against Chelsea.

I'm pretty sure people said the same thing when Newcastle were 12 points clear in 1995/96, Arsenal 8 points clear in 2002/03, even Man United 8 points clear in 2011/12...........

Anyway there's no point me repeating myself every week, the table will speak for itself at the end of the season. Just hope we can recover well in 2 weeks time.

Yeh far too early to come to conclusions but City have a good head start!

Sure that happens and it may happen in this case, but the difference is this Man City is absolutely fantastic.

Man Utd's problem is that Mourinho just does not know how to attack. His record against the top 6 away is embarrassing - to not even attack teams and just hope you can take the chance or two that you will inevitably get is dreadful. After blitzing teams for fun, your form over the past 5 games is pretty inconsistent. There's a great team in there, but I don't think Mourinho knows how to play attacking football. I still can't believe Man Utd fans are on his side.

It's funny how Jose becomes convulsed in petty arguments with the media that ultimately undermine him - he got so wound up at the criticism following the Liverpool game. It's really childish!

He's never been the same since Real Madrid - it broke him. Still, he is great at what he does but both Man City and Man Utd have spent similar amounts of money since they took over. Yet Man City have improved massively in all cases, yet you probably would not say that against Man Utd.

Wouldn't quite agree with that last statement *just* yet, after all they have won precisely nothing so far since he took over :P which is the ultimate proof of "improvement" for these teams.

The thing that really goes in their favour is their squad depth, they could have 2 or 3 first choices out & it wouldn't be a problem at all. I'd argue if they lost De Bruyne or even Fernandinho for a sustained period this season they would be the biggest miss - or even Ederson the way he's been doing lately.

Meanwhile for us it all went to shit after Pogba got injured...

Possibly, but individually he has improved a lot of the players which is more what I meant. Who has Mourinho improved? Infact it is probably easier to count the players Mourinho has degressed!

If you take De Bruyne/Fernandinho out then yes I agree, it will be interesting to see how they cope. But their depth is amazing, sure I don't think they would be AS good, but like you say their depth covers them for any big injuries. Do the same to Man Utd, Spurs, Liverpool etc. and the drop off in quality is very noticeable.

You do miss Pogba for sure - but I don't think he would have made too much of a difference in the games away from home against the Top 6. That fault lies with Mourinho and his tactics as you still have creative players.

David Moyes is our new manager... this reminds me of Roeder and Grant - the last two managers to relegate us. Better prepare for Shrewsbury next season.

Good luck!

(For the record, I don't personally see you going down. Think are definitely at least 3 other teams a lot weaker. I just sense you'll have a stuttering season throughout & finish like 14th then he'll get sacked next season when you inevitably get off to another poor start).

The whole club is dysfunctional - the board, management, players, stadium. I think we are in real danger of going down.

This reminds me of when Newcastle appointed Steve McClaren.

I don't think West Ham will get relegated, the players that they have are better than Sunderland's squad from last season. I don't think there will be much improvement under David Moyes though who has developed a bad reputation over the past few years. He did a good job at Everton but everything since then has been dreadful.

On the funny side West Ham Fan TV might become the new ArsenalFanTV, especially if this season so far is anything to go by

It's a strange appointment for sure, but in Moyes' defence he can organise a mean defence, which it seems like West Ham want. I must admit it's strange though after 10 games they are basically admitting that they want to just survive relegation this season? They can't have much confidence in the squad etc. and must know they have taken a huge risk.

I think West Ham will be OK, but Moyes will need to hit the ground running pretty quickly. I think the bigger problem really is he strategy of dumb and dumber aka the owners. I don't think they really know what they want to be doing, or have the correct model in place. Wonder if they will go for Rodgers in the summer?

Also, it really irritates me when the media complain about British managers not getting jobs at top clubs. British managers constantly get jobs, it's just they're all absolutely terrible progressive coaches largely.

Moyes I think is ridiculed rather than disliked. He had a decent reputation at Everton despite being there 10 years and winning no trophies and having a terrible away record at the “big” teams. The fact he was “the Chosen One” at United and then failed so spectacularly. The terrible job he did at Sunderland.

Manchester City have signed a deal with Amazon Prime worth more than £10m for a behind-the-scenes TV series following the club through the 2017-18 season.

The Premier League has agreed to the series, likely to appear on Prime's on-demand video service in autumn 2018.

Money talks as usual.

Pogba, Ibrahimovic & Rojo are back in the United squad for tomorrow's match against Newcastle! We've missed them badly over the past few weeks so I'm glad to hear that they are coming back.
