Bit of a surprising draw today with Southampton and Tottenham there.

Spurs' next 3 games are Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal in the league. Talk about a season defining couple of weeks.

Basically if Kane doesn't turn up they're gonna lose all 3.

I think Eriksen is the player that makes them tick. They look bang average without him. Lots of athleticism, but not much creativity. Son looks like he is a proper 'home' player as well.

Southampton are in the relegation zone after that 1-1 draw with Tottenham. Southampton have been going under the radar all season with how bad they've been, it's quite shocking to see a club like this in the relegation zone but I don't think they will get relegated this season. I don't think I've ever seen the bottom of the table as close as it is at the moment, only 4 points separates 10th - 18th right now.

For the sake of entertainment I hope that one day we'll get a season where the top is as close as the bottom is at the moment. Imagine if only 4 points separated 1st - 9th towards the end of January!

Well that last statement is never going to happen. Things would be much closer near the top bar Man City having a freak season. Fair enough though, they have consistently been the best team this year.

Liverpool have done a Liverpool.

Six points between 10th and 20th now. Almost as if the whole bottom half of the table is load of interchangeable mediocre teams with interchangeable mediocre managers.

Loving that result!!!

It's a 12-team dogfight right now. Can see only Everton & West Ham pulling away somewhat but can make a case for any of the other 10 to go down.

Loving that the £75m defender is the one who provided the assist. Christ knows who thought VVD was worth that much but I’d like to find them and discuss an investment opportunity
The premiership is basically top 6 then Everton and Leicester and one other then the rest!

It most definitely is, Steve.

A fantastic win for Swansea which means just 6 points separate 10th and the bottom.

I think 2 of the relegation places could be decided on the last day of the season the way things look at the moment! Right now I would say that Brighton, Huddersfield & Swansea despite their win tonight will be the 3 teams going down this season.

He's quality, easily one of the better centre backs in the league. These things happen from time to time.

We were poor tonight, Swansea defended well. Fairly play, we were 17 games unbeaten and it's very rare we go 5 wins on the trot. From the moment Mane missed that flick on early in te first half I knew it was going to be one of those days. Hitting the post and missing from 8 yards out in the 94th minute just about sums us up. Shit result, but ages to go yet, we are kinda lucky that Spurs have a bad run of fixtures and loads of the Top 6 have to play each other again yet.

It also makes the bottom of the league really interesting, but Swansea are definitely going down.

We need one or two midfielders in January otherwise we could easily get dragged back into it. Lanzini is out for a month and we have zero creativity without him.

Haha at all the United fans coming on here to comment about VVD yes it was his fault that we lost lastnyt 😴😴. Least we didn't sell him when he was 20 and buy him back a few years later for 10 times as much....

Did I say that? Naw. I said I was amused he provided the assist. Can’t comment on anything further as I didn’t watch the game.

As for your last comment, it’s something I’d expect from a city fan. Small club mentality. Expect better from you Steve. United aren’t a selling club, we’re not Southampton. Ronaldo aside until the past 3 or 4 windows weve not been a club that sells players for very much at all. At least he left for a fee which is more than has happened in the past. Don’t care how much more we paid to buy him back. Simple fact is that he has vastly improved as a player since leaving for Italy and it was right we paid for that. Should we have put a buy-back clause in? Yes but that error has been rectified since in the others that have left (eg Depay)

More like one United fan ;)

Personally I didn't watch the Swansea vs Liverpool match so I can't comment on Virgil Van Dyke's performance. The result is trademark Liverpool though, 1 giant step forward followed by another giant step back.

You didn't need to say it, your comment insinuated it clearly and you didn't see the game!

Why would united be a selling club?

Virgil was fine, 3 players went to clear the ball, it fell to a Swansea player who unexpectedly which deflected off him to Mawson, who hit the ball first time in to the back of the net through a wall of players. These things happen.

I disagree about the 1 step forward, 1 step back. Everyone knows, Klopp included, we are 2-3 players away from being a top side. Swansea got their tactics right, Salah got marked out of the game and none of our players had any space to do anything with the ball. We were way below our best, became impatient, but still had 2-3 really good chances which our players missed. These things happen, it is a reality of where we are as a team. We will drop more points against poor sides this year, but so will Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea.
