What a rotten season Chelsea are having. Everyone's eyes have been on Arsenal but they're only 5 points behind Chelsea themselves. The champions' curse well & truly on form for yet another season in a row (please, please continue next season).

Chelsea were a bit of a false hope last year, think they flattered to deceive and it took a while for teams to figure out how to play against them.

But the root of their problems are in getting rid of Costa (why?) and not recruiting well enough. Conte surely gone in the summer.

Bakayoko & to a lesser extent Drinkwater were terrible buys, plus Morata has looked nowhere near a £60M striker.

Doesn't look good for Stoke now. Better start throwing support behind Huddersfield as they're an actual somewhat-local team with more of a chance of staying up.

I actually think relegation is just about as likely for Huddersfield as it is for Stoke, Huddersfield are on a downward spiral and they've got some tough matches coming up.

I think Morata is good, but he offers nothing like what Costa did.

Their recruitment full round is terrible, speaks of a poor strategy. I understand with the quotas introduced by the FA they have to have English players, but they have gone for average ones rather than ones that are actually good enough for a Top 6 side. I don't think they've bought a decent player for a while now.

Whatever they are it won't be remembered for good football.

Thankfully wrong! We were excellent in the first half, and the third goal was a sight to behold.

We should be okay, provided we get four more points from somewhere (hopefully Stoke at home). However, that shouldn't detract from the season we've had.

Last season whilst Chelsea were comfortably top of the table a lot of their fans were laughing at United for being the Europa League but now it's almost certain that they'll be in the Europa League next season. I never expected Chelsea to retain the title this season because of how shaky they were towards the end of last season and because of their summer transfer dealings but I thought they would at least be in the top 4. They're fast turning into Arsenal 2.0 with all the unrest surrounding the board and the manager Antonio Conte.
Yeh he didn't make any impact. Never had West Brom anywhere near relegation at the start of the season, just goes to show no team bar the 6 richest can gaurantee premier league football each year!

I hope the stewards manage to hold back the fans if City win........ What was that crap from Guardiola about Pogba?

I say that as Guardiola said that City were offered to buy Pogba and Mkhitaryan by his agent back in January.

I don't think it was crap, I think it's 100% true. It was meant to be embargoed and come out in the national newspapers last night but somebody leaked it early.

Coming back from 2-0 down to currently lead 3-2 against Man City is the level of pride and passion that we should keep up. Nothing we can do about this season but this mentality will be good leading into next season.

Felt a bit dirty as that was the first and only time I wanted Man Utd to win. Was a very entertaining game. Man City certainly lost their heads 2nd half, that's 6 goals conceded in 2 games. They just lost it completely. Fair play for Man Utd, thought they were really good in the 2nd half. Man City's energy levels dropped off significantly and Man Utd pounced. I'm not sure how both teams managed to keep 11 players on the pitch!

Absolutely no chance, you're nowhere near winning the league yet. City should have been 5-0 up before half-time - that first half performance was completely awful. Bar Sterling's terrible finishing you would have got pasted.

How do you know we have no chance? anything can happen in football and the past week has shown that Man City are not the perfect team that a lot of people portray them to be. I guess if we have no chance then today the FA might as well engrave City's name on the trophy next to 2018-19 because we are their closest challengers at the moment.

I think united have every chance next season. You always see next years potential champs developing around this time in a season. There wouldn't have to be too much tweaking for mourinho to do to find the consistency to challenge longer next year. That and another 300m for Jose to spend!!

Was a great Derby, united did really well to come back after losing their heads when the first city goal went in. Before that they were decent, but like vs Liverpool and Spurs - aggressive without the ball but not enough with it which was the main change in the second half. Though how that young challenge wasn't a pen I will never know, could have been a sending off!

Once, I read it in the national newspapers, I knew it was true.

Think United were fortunate to win against City yesterday.

Because this Man Utd side is goog to average at best and all my opinion of course, but there's a reason you have not challenged for the title this year. I think Spurs/Man Utd/Liverpool are all at the same sort of level right now but the former two have the higher ceiling. Don't get me wrong, I don't think City will walk away with the title next year like this season, but the context of yesterdays game needs to be mentioned.

While the win is great for Man Utd, that first half performance was terrible. Another day and City are 5-0 ahead and you have no chance. 2nd half you had the aggression, Man City crumbled and lost their heads, which as shown a few times this season can happen. The luck was certainly with you, but Man City have also got a lot of luck this year too.

Well typical Mourinho they are getting linked with the likes of Bale/Willian - even if they do win the title, he will leave them in a little bit of a mess. For what it's worth I think they are a way away yet. The problem isn't the consistency, it's more the mentality.

Yeh they can be linked with them because they can pay them 300k a week if they want and that's why united fans wonder why we take the piss that Jose plays awful football on the whole and spends so much money but comes up a distant second.
