The music video is pretty good but I'm still not convinced with the song, still sounds like good album track territory. I think it's just the chorus I find so underwhelming compared to the rest of the track.

1 Last Dance (I feel like the only person who really adores this, it'll take a lot to top this for me because this is still way out in front in my rank).

'Last Dance' is also my favourite Dua song to date! Both the sang part and production in the chorus are lush. :wub:

 

I'm taking to 'New Rules' really quickly also! It was already better than 'Blow Your Mind' and the Miguel collab on listen #1. My top 3 of Last Dance/Be The One/Hotter Than Hell are all just ridiculously strong, this does feel like at least a 9/10 moment from her. Bravo Dua.

I can't believe how fast this has taken off. Before the video I didn't think it would do anything. Then I saw the reaction of the video and thought it would actually be a cute little hit. Then I went on holiday for 10 days and went I returned it was already in the Top 40 :o

Predicting top 3/5 for this. Top 20 already without A-list support or promo!

Top 10 on Spotify and iTunes! It's climbed on Spotify in a way that most pop songs struggle to do, and airplay is only now starting to make a significant airplay. I'm so glad this is going to be her biggest hit, because it's her best.

I'm so happy for Dua and the success she currently has after the mess of rollout her self-titled album had. At this point, I guess it's a guarantee that "New Rules" will reach the Top 10, but I hope it could go a little higher (Top 3, preferably) to be honest.
