So yeah, results. Go had a last minute surge to slip into the qualifier position and knock former finalists like Glad You Came, Got 2 Luv U and Notorious out of contention. But then Go was 60th last year as well. So what's new?

 

Well, the top 10 were all in the final last time which means the highest new face in the final is Britney with I Wanna Go. Below that in 15th, a slightly controv qualifier I'm sure but Run The World was quite comfortably through. Sadly, Price Tag getting through means we continue condoning Jessie J, We R Who We R and Me & You are also new faces, Ke$ha almost getting two new finalists in for 2011 but Blow was just slightly adrift, but Me & You adds a second qualifier for Nero along with the often comfortable Promises.

 

My 25 qualified here! 2011 is normally quite good for results as I don't have many obviously doomed faves hanging around here.

Yeah! I nominated it, but actually discovered Go back when I didn't know much about the UK Charts but I heard it on one of those YouTube run-throughs of the chart when it was charting and I really liked the sound of it.

Ooh interesting to reveal the qualifiers in this way! Delighted to see 'Moment 4 Life' smashing it into the top 10 and 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' in the top 20! 'Traktor' was the only nomination I lost from this year so I call that a success.

'Go' is absolutely amazeeeeeeee, easily one of my favourite songs in the entire contest, thrilled to see it making it through :wub: (is this the first time it's made the 2011 final?) Awww at 'L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N.' and 'Shuffle' only just missing out though.

I recall quite a few songs that came through in 21st-25th becoming AQs last year, On Melancholy Hill and Eez-Eh spring to mind. If they've relied on high points before and can carry them over then they certainly have a chance. Similarly 3rds and 2nds have a good chance of dropping straight back out as pop voters abandon them for the bigger fish already up there. Which is why I decided that there was no harm in revealing it as this order has basically no relevance to the final based on numerous observations :kink: Though as far as I can remember the heat winners last time all got to the AQ line.

 

Go was in last year's final and came last though. So it can only get better for it!!!

I'm always shocked at how high some of these songs I've forgotten about get. Adele beaten into 4th for '08 by Sara Bareilles and Jennifer Hudson! Kylie was always going to be a tough one to beat but those two? Not to mention Jordin Sparks just behind her
