It would have been a wonderful promotion slot in a time when album sales are close to peaking for the year.

Taken from the Jack Savoretti interview with the OCC:

You also collaborated with Kylie Minogue fairly recently. We heard you were originally intending to record a cover?

“We were going to a cover of Boney M’s Rivers Of Babylon but we both realised we weren’t brave enough to do it. I remember she turned to me and said, ‘do you want to do this?’, and I was like, ‘I’ll do it if you do it!’ and she wasn’t sure, so we tried something new on our own. She was in full on writing mode, and she was in a deep place. I was fortunate enough to work with her at a time when she was feeling reflective. I wanted to tap into that amazing strength she has, which I don’t think I appreciated until I met her. She has this incredible power – she’s a real force of nature.”

Well thank GOD they changed their minds on that one!

That was a very wise decision and i like the " I wanted to tap into that amazing strength she has, which I don’t think I appreciated until I met her. She has this incredible power – she’s a real force of nature.”

It is very complementary, it is something many artists have said once they meet her.

Thank God they changed their mind as we wouldnt have got mtswy which would have been a massive shame as it's a great and the 3rd most successful single off golden

Nice to see Music re enter iTunes top 200 on back of his album release. Must have had a radio play

Omg rivers of Babylon would have been brilliant too.

If rivers of Babylon was to be done it should have been done for kylie Christmas. Good to see mtswy get a few more sales.

The song really deserved to be a hit or at the least make it to the Top 100.

That said, it went Top 10 on iTunes and managed a good iTunes chart run.

Would anyone have estimated sales for Music's Too Sad Without You?

Hopefully it might get a spike in sales as it’s featured on Jack’s new album

I didnt know Jack was also adding it to his album.

This can only help increase awareness of the wonderful song.

^ Was released as an instant grat back in November, it's the Live in Venice version.

Is that the version on his album? Jack is number 1 by far in the album chart this week.

Music’s Too Sad Without You will be her highest selling single not to enter the Top 100 i believe.
I suspect it hasn't even reached 20k yet. Using the info Jay supplied, it hadn't even managed 10k with a sales chart run of 54-68-17-35-72.
