Lol you would know United weren't playing tonight with the lack of chat in here!

Poor from Liverpool tonight but I think in the long run it just means we have to beat them at anfield to qualify so it should be fine!

lol, I didn't watch any of the football tonight so I can't really comment too much on anything that happened.

You will probably still qualify but in 2nd place most likely.

So far we’ve scored 4 again! We’ve really raised our scoring game this year which is good to see. CSKA can be quite a tricky away fixture so I’m really happy to see us come out of this with 3 points. We weren’t amazing on the road in the Europa so if we can get a solid win away in the first game that stands is in good stead i hope

Stunning result for Chelsea.

Four English teams in excellent positions after two games. Will be fascinating to see how Spurs do in two games against Real, but expecting three group winners and two runners up at this stage.

Another match with 4 goals from us and Lukaku getting on the scoresheet, I missed most of the first half and by the time I got my stream up it was already 3-0 so the match was more or less over by that point. Nonetheless I'm glad to see that we've got maximum points in the group stage so far and 4 more points should be enough to qualify for the knockout stage.

Excellent result for Celtic as well winning 3-0 against Anderlecht. PSG winning 3-0 against Bayern is a bit of a surprise, apparently the owner of PSG is paying for Neymar to be the penalty taker for some reason.

Bayern Munich have sacked Carlo Ancelotti after their 3-0 defeat to PSG.

1-1 is a great result for Tottenham away to Real Madrid, both teams have 7 points now so it's looking near certain that they'll both qualify for the knockout stage. Apart from the penalty that he scored Ronaldo didn't play up to the standard that he normally produces.

Spurs' result is brilliant for them - Real Madrid's home record in the CL is insane.

Looking likely that Monaco and Dortmund are going to go out and we're only halfway through.

I feel sorry for the young Benfica goalkeeper Mile Svilar, only 18 years old and he was thrown in at the deep end last night. Hopefully he wont be too hard on himself for the mistake that led to Rashford's goal. The match itself was dull for the most part but we got the win and are now on the verge of qualifying for the Round of 16.

The Chelsea vs Roma match was the complete opposite judging by the highlights and Edin Dzeko's 1st goal of the match was pure class.

Yeh Dzekos volley was class!

Rashford def meant to shot for the goal after the corners he took! Felt sorry for the keeper too!

On another note your boy Luisao has been in that Benfica defence for my whole lifetime lol

f*** me that was spectacularly dull. Thought LVG was back in charge for a moment. Daily Blind taking a penalty was worth the price of admission. Still howling

Looking forward to tomorrow's highlights - Celtic still can't get that win in Europe!!

I missed a large part of the match but from what I saw Benfica's 18 year old goalkeeper played quite well and made some decent saves, it's another case of bad luck for him when it came to the first goal. Fortunately for him he doesn't have to play Man United again this season

I've seen some Chelsea fans calling for Antonio Conte to get sacked because of their 3-0 defeat to Roma. Hopefully it will be back-to-back defeats for them on Sunday.

Tottenham vs Real Madrid should be entertaining tonight! I can't see Tottenham getting a victory though especially without their main man Harry Kane.

Some good results from the English teams - Spurs got a great result. Madrid are in poor form and Ronaldo is currently a bit off the boil, but a good result for them nethertheless.

Man City or PSG are going to take some beating in this competition though.

I heard that City and PSG are the new favourites for the Champions League after tonight's defeat for Real Madrid. I still think that Real Madrid are the most likely team to win it this season and they will definitely be there till the semi's at least. Man City are 100% not going to win the Champions League, if you believe the hype then it seems like they've already won the quadruple before Christmas

^^Agreed lol. I think United have a half decent chance of at least a semi-final as they know how to defend and set up for a certain result which a lot of the big European sides don't these days.

Man City and PSG are rightfully the favourites. Real Madrid are all over the place this year, Ronaldo's form has dried up and so has the rest of the team. Of course they are still dangerous, but PSG are on fire and Man City are excellent right now. They're undefeated in 5 months. Honestly think Man City have a great chance of winning this year.

I don't think we'll get as far as the semi-finals. Getting to the quarter finals would be a good achievement for us and it could happen if we get a favourable draw in the round of 16.

Man City will run out of steam by the time the knockout stages arrive, for the Premier League they are deserved favourites but they're not on the level of the '99 treble winning United side, 2009-2011 Barcelona or the 2013 Bayern Munich team. Teams that can go full throttle in practically all competitions at the same time throughout the season. Man City have a recent history of being bottle jobs which is why I am not being swept into the hype around them at the moment.

It will prove to be a fact that Manchester City will not win the Champions League this season.
