'Sexy! No No No' or 'Untouchable' to win please 😍

'Something New' is one of my favourites too, it's a shame to see that leave so early on.

Something New is just *.*#

It's not anywhere near their material at the peak of their career but I expected it to make the top ten

Seems like a perfect Top 13 for me, with all the songs I'm not too fond of now gone.

*

As for #14, adding anything worthy to that discography after such a long break was pretty much an impossible task to begin with, which may have led to someone (not necessarily the band members...) trying too hard, and inevitably failing in the end.

Something New :snif: What a song. Forever underappreciated, apart from those of us who KNOW it's a belter.

'Something New' has grown on me soooo much over time! I was initially a bit apprehensive about it because the verses felt so brash and a tad grating. Buuut I've accepted it for the fun earwom that it is now. Still, this feels about right for it with the standard of the rest of their discography.
HAHAHAH thank god Something New was that low, I know people love it but I just cannot see why :/ The chorus, ok I get it, but the rest is just shouty noise
'Something New' is great but it doesn't deserve to be thought of as one of their best so I'm not too upset about its placing.

13. The Promise // 7.27

The Promise is Girls Aloud's 19th single, and the first to be taken from their final studio album, Out of Control (2008). This 60s-inspired pop song became their 4th #1 single, and is their 2nd best seller behind Sound of the Underground. The Promise was named the Best British Single at the 2009 Brit Awards - Girls Aloud's long-awaited Brit Award win (Sarah: "It's about time!!"). Their memorable performance of The Promise at the Brit Awards was nominated the following year for Best Live Performance at the BRIT Awards! Other notable performances include The X Factor & my personal favourite Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, which I believe is one of their strongest performances - and Sarah slaaayed

. *_* (Seriously, why wasn't this included in the studio version?!).
I'd have put The Promise a tiny bit higher myself! They really did seem to go stratospheric with it, shame they decided it was the time for a hiatus not long after :drama:
Girls Aloud felt so BIG following 'The Promise' *.* I'm so glad that song took their career to new heights, especially them nabbing a BRIT award! I do love the really classy 60s feel to 'The Promise' <3 'Untouchable' however pips it as my favourite from the Out Of Control era.

12. Can't Speak French // 7.38

The first Tangled Up single to drop out is the third and final release from the fan favourite album. Can't Speak French was released in 2008 and peaked at #9, giving the girls their eighteenth consecutive top 10. It seems to be a more divisive track than most on the album, with shady hoes like Jáhq hating it, but it's got a whole lotta love too. The music video was inspired by the fashions of 18th Century France, and is certainly one of their most visually striking videos. For the single release, they ironically recorded a French version of the song, entitled Je Ne Parle Pas Français

I like CSF, but The Promise and SN should be higher. Can we get a reminder of what's left?

Still in the running:

Sound of the Underground

No Good Advice

The Show

Love Machine

Wake Me Up

Biology

Something Kinda Ooooh

Sexy! No No No...

Call the Shots

The Loving Kind

Untouchable

Pleasantly surprised Wake Me Up is still in, I've felt for ages that it's one of their most overlooked uptempos!

Personally I wouldn't have The Loving Kind this high up, and if based purely on the radio mix then Untouchable would be lower down for me as well! (Strictly speaking all voters should have only taken this version into account imo, I assume a few didn't).
