It's only been since the New Rules video dropped that I "got" Dua. She's fab - especially NR and BTO. How did that one pass me by?

If any Enrique song it should have been Bailando getting this huge success - it even had an (inferior) English version but never really took off here :(

Still, if Despacito has started a trend of foreign-language hits actually becoming popular in the UK then I suppose that's a good thing.

I think The Script will eventually be #01 with 'Rain'

Streaming isn't being kind to it so I really don't see that happening.

Yeah, for some reason this has happened...

 9 The Script - Rain

Please don't say that. :(

I want them gone. Banished to the scrapyard of irrelevancy.

I agree  But it's very Sheeran so it's bound to do really well. :(

And it begins.

'The Man Who Can't be Moved' was brilliant, they haven't come close to matching that since, although 'If You Could See Me Now' was good I thought.

my personal favourite is 'Breakeven', though they've never made a song that I've loved.

'Hall Of Fame' is a crime against music so that being their biggest hit yet is very annoying.

Hopefully not it might create an umbrella situation

We want some summer

And still they didn't sue James Arthur for The Man Who Can't Be Moved Pt II sorry Say You Won't Let Go

I'd say Breakeven is their best for me too.

And I do actually quite like Hall Of Fame, haven't put anything good out since that single (yet to hear this new one & not in a rush to do so).

Rain is pretty bad, his voice is excruciating ("such a sha-aaa-ame") in places, the best bit is the chorus tbh but it's very derivative and basic  I know they're hardly pioneers usually but I absolutely hate this tropical lite-lite trend :/ Shape Of You is fine (if overplayed to HELL) but idg why acts like The Script have to follow...

The Man Who Can't Be Moved, We Cry, For The First Time, Hall Of Fame and especially Breakeven are still absolute tunes tho.

Am I right in thinking that with the new chart sales rules that the year end charts will be completely inaccurate??? I assume nothing could even touch Ed Sheeran with the new sales rules?
Rain will be the sort of song that the majority of people HATE when they first hear it and then once it's been on the radio a few times it catches on and becomes a huge hit that everyone loves.
