I suggest an amendment along the lines of "sender is responsible for taking action to ensure they have a backup in case of non delivery or loss of votes" and suggest a couple of easy methods so this never is a situation again.

His response took a while when I sent the message, and IIRC he's currently busy in real life so that might explain it.

One would hope this is a situation that won't happen again any time soon regardless. (That said, there is of course no harm in keeping a sent copy anyway - I usually do this although I actually forgot to on this occasion lol)

Sorry I've taken so long to respond. I have been rather preoccupied with real life for much of this week.

 

I can only apologise for the fact that I don't appear to have received votes from two countries :(

 

One thing I would say for the benefit of future hosts is that I would agree with the suggestion that the country name should be in the subject line. It's not so much that it avoids the possibility of messages getting deleted by mistake, it just makes things a lot easier when it comes to compiling the results. One or two people didn't include their country name in either the subject line or the message itself. That meant I had to go to the country list and get it from there (including having to look back at past user names to find the one in the main list!).

Just popping in amid the drama to say I'm gobsmacked that UNKLE did that well, belated thanks to all who voted for it - especially the three 18s and the two 15s. :wub:

 

Even more amazed that it finished second in the semi! I really thought it would struggle in that draw but how wrong was I! :o

As two countries have been banned from BJSC97 following problems with BJSC96, Suedeonia has decided not to submit an entry. We will be back for BJSC98.

Apologies for not voting this time. Hectic weekend, Moved my boyfriend in from the north to Wales and laptop is broken. I shall take the ban on the chin and be back after 1 month. :)
