Looks like we may have a big Latin pop trend now to replace the tired tropical pop/ future bass/ pitched vocal drop pop ones. A definite major improvement if so.

Omg, I hope so! I love Latin pop!

How Sun Comes Up became so big and all these huge increases in the past 2 days?
I too think Latin influence will be the next big thing in chart music. Obviously we have Despacito (which will go down as the start of the trend) but also Wild Thoughts. UK rapper Dave's new single, 'Tequila' is Spanish influenced and it will be to 2018 what deep house was to 2014 and 'tropical house' was to 2016.
Kamaliya at #56 with a different song  Chart hyping alive and well in 2017 then

As usual

People's attention span is just 24 hours

And all LP tracks big dropping now

Not really moreso than Hey Baby or Chain Reaction/One For Sorrow

I don't think anyone remembers the version of 'One For Sorrow' that was on the flipside of 'Chain Reaction'. It wasn't even promoted much at the time.

Despacito #1, #11 & #25. Coming for that #1 again

 What happens if its sales increase? Does it go back to the original streaming forumla? Or will it be at 300:1 forever now?

I believe it will go back to 1:150 if it increases its sales again this week (which it should) until it decreases again for three weeks and then goes back to 1:300?

If it increases by 50% (relative to the overall market), it goes back to 150:1. Then a three-week decline and it goes back to 300:1 again!

Thanks. A massive headache for the chart compilers then!

The Linkin Park songs look like they're at the start of a sharp fall. They climbed faster but seem to be falling a lot faster than the GM tracks did.
Hopefully with sales quite low at the min they will have sold enough to chart well by Friday!
combined Despacito on 1.63 (3 versions) vs. Wild Thoughts at 0.69

Sheeple do my head in.

They wouldn't have even entertained an Enrique Span track if it weren't all the rage. Sheeple.
