July 22, 20179 yr Personally I would rather Numb/Encore was excluded, hate that version so much & it's literally impossible to avoid hearing it on a night out. Hope they play the original Numb though, by miles my favourite song of theirs. thing is that if Numb/Encore does count as an LP song then their three biggest selling tracks at the moment are In The End, Numb and Numb/Encore. If it counts as a JAY-Z song then What I've Done will also be able to chart.
July 24, 20179 yr I'm intrigued to see how well Declan McKenna's album will do. I'd like to think it could go Top 10, but then again I thought that Will Joseph Cook would challenge for at least Top 20 and yet it failed to even go Top 100 so what do I know
July 24, 20179 yr Author Midweek flash: Feels back up to 3, Power up to 6, Louis is 10. This is without the new rules so things might be somewhat different. Lana is 3,774 behind Paul Heaton now :( Hybrid Theory is #3 a futher 4.5k behind. Ed down to #4.
July 24, 20179 yr Author Wow Little Mix could get their third top 5 of the Glory Days era. It depends if they can stay ahead of Rita, who looks like she's outselling them at this point. Linkin will fall behind of course.
July 24, 20179 yr so despacito is #1 or 2? where are linkin park in singles? Edited July 24, 20179 yr by Bjork
July 24, 20179 yr We've got no idea re. Despacito because this data is under the old rules! I was totally wrong about The Vamps, they're somehow down to #31

I was totally wrong about The Vamps, they're somehow down to #31 :mellow:I did say the other day The Vamps could be down into the 60s! It looks like it might happen... unlikely though I'd imagine, but they won't be top 20 come Friday I would have thought.
July 24, 20179 yr same, I also thought Vamps would hold up well, were selling >1K at the end of last week but in this mids you got Despacito is #1? and were are LP in singles?

July 24, 20179 yr Author That would appear to be quite a gap that Ed has to claw back, Lana may yet get to top this week then! I don't think she can close the gap between herself and Paul Heaton quickly enough :(

It looks like it might happen... unlikely though I'd imagine, but they won't be top 20 come Friday I would have thought. I definitely don't think they'll be anywhere near the 60s, but this is definitely a harsher drop than I expected :drama: same, I also thought Vamps would hold up well, were selling >1K at the end of last week but in this mids you got Despacito is #1? and were are LP in singles? Despacito is #1, but that's expected without ACR! Not much point revealing too much as I'm not really sure how much ACR is gonna affect songs but In the End is #5 and Numb is #9, as a taster for later.

I was totally wrong about The Vamps, they're somehow down to #31 :mellow:Do the mids you get not show streaming sales? You just need to half them and then it would give some idea of where the track would be in the official midweeks that will be revealed later today... I'm guessing it will still be at number 2. July 24, 20179 yr I don't think she can close the gap between herself and Paul Heaton quickly enough :( I think it will be close - somehow Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott are outselling Lana on Amazon but Lana is #4 on iTunes (against #14 for 'Crooked Calypso') and streams will surely be higher for her.
July 24, 20179 yr I think Despacito could be #1 even with the 1:300 ratio, it's doing 3 times better than Wild T on itunes Also think Lana could be #1 in the end thanks to streams, it's doing very well on Spotify Edited July 24, 20179 yr by Bjork
July 24, 20179 yr Ooh does that mean we will get our 2nd female Top 5 hit of the year in Your Song or Power?
July 24, 20179 yr Author Ooh does that mean we will get our 2nd female Top 5 hit of the year in Your Song or Power? Yes and no. I think Rita will overtake Power.
July 24, 20179 yr I'd say it should be the 3rd, with 'One Last Time' counting even if it's years old and didn't get there under normal circumstances. Of course the number would be higher counting collabs ('I Don't Wanna Live Forever' and many features) or 2016 holdovers ('Touch', 'I Would Like'), but I know that's not the point. 'Your Song' was still written and produced by 2 men with tons of hits between them (Ed Sheeran & Steve Mac) unfortunately :/
