I wasn't gonna do this as I preferred the anonymity aspect, but given we have quite a spectrum of music tastes signing up (a good thing ofc.!), yes I think this would be the best option just so we don't get too many mismatches in taste! (the likes of UV, Silas and Tim probably wouldn't like the one I've made I must be honest :lol: :ph34r:)

 

So yes, if you'd like to know who you're making a CD for, please POST HERE OR PM ME (again, it will be selected randomly) :D Otherwise I will allocate you a name from who's left when sign ups close (I have already received one, but they are welcome to opt in if they want!)

This sounds fun. But after reading about the .zip stuff... I'm too lazy tbh. Mostly because I operate on just iPads and iPhones.

02. The idea behind all of this is that we're going to be doing a mass removal of tags with iTunes. However, you don't want to lose your original data right? First, go to iTunes -> Preferences, you should be on the general tab. Look for something that says 'Important Settings'. Click this. Change to Import Using: MP3 Encoder. In the settings below, make sure that you switch it to something lie 'Higher (192 kbps)' or even preferably 320 kbps under Custom. I'm not sure of the mechanics of this (besides that 320 is good sound quality / anything below 192 isn't really at all), but I know that really whatever you put it'll all end up sounding the same. iTunes isn't meant to be used to convert sound quality. Just put something high just in case. But don't fret over this step, the main part is to make sure that your important settings are set to MP3.

This step isn't that important, but (assuming you're using iTunes) just go to Edit > Preferences > General > Import Settings and check that it says 'Import Using: MP3 Encoder' at the top and at 'Higher quality (192 kbps)' at the drop down menus.This is just so everything is converted to an MP3, the most important part is the next step!

Gah, I'm only home for a couple days in between vacations otherwise I'd try to make a CD for this! Glad to see this is back though, might sign up last minute if time allows.

Yeah, anonymity is king, but if there's an option to get to know who's the "lucky" one, then I'd like to know... I promise that I'll make that person suffer at least a little bit, but a little bit should be enough + I don't want to do a meh vanilla mix.

I'll definitely do this - had some lovely albums created for me years ago.

Just sent my CD, I had some fun compiling it, I hope whoever gets it likes at least a few tracks from it.
