Apparently she was warned not to release this as ‘it wouldn’t be a hit’.

Tbh, that doesn't surprise me. There was definitely a reason as to why she released two songs that week. Thankfully sense prevailed with the general public this time and the far superior track won and has gone on to be a huge hit! :D

Hmm. Not here at all for the 'comedy' acting scenes at the beginning or end so I tried to just judge the video where the song plays. I do like the Latin vibe but, after seeing her live performances, I was expecting something a lot more killer.

That's what killed it for me - the beginning and the "acting". The parts where the actual song was playing were much better.

I really enjoy the video actually. I could have done with more scenes with her in the red dress in the film and bit less of the acting parts at the beginning and also the ending part was a bit weird but overall I liked it . She looks like a total star as well in the dancing scenes as well !

Have people on here never seen or heard of a telenovela before?! The video is clearly a huge homage to them, I think it works really well and I love the dedication at the end.

I can't believe comments saying the "comedy" parts are not believable or weird. Those scenes magnify the quality of this video. It's an adorable and perfect homage to telenovelas and latin american culture. Very well done, she is going to get a lot of praise for this.

I love the dancing parts but I really don’t like the acting parts. Similarly (but not as bad) as the Swish Swish video which was the same director.

 

I am loving how big this song is though! I hope it can still push for #1 in the UK.

Great video! Not sure a lot of the waffle at the start was necessary really but she comes across really well and looks stunning. The song is still great and I prefer it to Crying in the Club now, really hope she can sustain this success with whatever comes next!!
