We look good for two or three medals from the relays. Men's 4x400 may be a stretch as apparently Hudson-Smith won't be coming in for the final, but we were still fourth fastest qualifiers so you never know. Need a better anchor leg from Rooney though.

I wonder what would happen if one of the ANA (e.g. Russian) athletes won a gold medal - would they play the Russian anthem, or something else?

On a side issue, I think any athlete caught for doping should be immediately banned for life, no second chances!

A fantastic silver from the women's 4x100m relay there. We beat Jamaica to the bronze. Again USA won it.

Wow! Wasn't expecting that!!!

Both 4x100 teams did brilliantly 😊

What a shame that Bolt's career had to end that way. He didn't look right at all in my opinion in the 100m and 4x100m.

Stupid BBC to show a slo-mo of Bolt pulling up in agony. Sad to see a legend's career end that way and with that image.

They can't just pretend it didn't happen though and surely they have to cover it? It doesn't lessen him in any way at all for me, he's still the most iconic person in the sport for all of his amazing achievements.

I know they can't just hide it, it's just a shame to see his career end that way.

You'll be missed, Bolt. The greatest sprinter of the modern era it's been a delight watching him.

What a fantastic performance from Great Britain there. Ujah, Talbot, Gemili, and Mitchell-Blake. The third quickest of all time. It was some run so glad we beat USA with the drug cheats in Gatlin and Rodgers.

Wow @ GB beating the USA there :o I was at the morning session for this today (was on very near where I live so we got a lot of tickets!) and thought it was a foregone conclusion after the US set the record in the heat (it was wonderful being there, we were really close to the track so were sitting very near some of the coaches for the discus throw *.). I admittedly didn't think Bolt would win this one, but eek,, such a shame. A legend obvs but a shame he had to go out on such a whimper. Farah not winning is a shame but again not entirely unexpected.

Well done to both the 4x400m relay teams with silver and bronze. GB met their target of 6.

I will miss this World Athletics Championship, it brightened up the evenings during the week in particular and was entertaining to watch. I also got to see more of this than last year's Olympics and even London 2012 as well.

It was sad to see Mo Farah & Usain Bolt miss out on their final gold medals but their legacies will remain intact forever.

I like the fact that were just evening sessions from Monday to Thursday with all the events taking place in that session. Of course, you need a morning session for the heptathlon and decathlon.
