Thank GOD we'll have Avicii & Pink to spice up the chart next week...

(also yay at Calvin looking like being #1 x)

Looks like there might be a new number 1, finally no more "Despacito". And go Dua Lipa, "New Rules" is a great song and the music video for it is already creating parodies, a clear sign of a big hit.
Dua's album coming for a re-peak! :o

that's the power of a big hit single + bare release schedule!

g'won Calvin grab dat fluke #1! :cheer:

good to see Duke City still top 40 with Spotify data but I still think it'll miss out on Friday, please let me be wrong.

I would welcome Calvin Harris to take pole position this week.

Sales all round are extremely poor,. Ed Sheeran looks safe to pass 10,000 but Arcade Fire not so much.

Not sure if anybody's mentioned this, but it was a surprise release (he announced it a day or two before it came out) which might explain why it rose late on in the week as more people found out about it :)

Am I the only one who thinks Mi Gente is awful? Subeme La Radio is nothing special either. There are so many good Spanish tracks out there (Bailando), why can't they be popular instead?

Uhhhh I really think 41 could end up being Real Life's peak ffs

in that case, looks like you won't be dying any time soon

So another official #1 that isn't the biggest selling song or most streamed track of the week. 🙄
I can't help but feel 'Feels' going #1 is even more ridiculous. Atleast with WT it was runner-up on both metrics. 'Feels' isn't even Top 3 on streaming. The 2nd most purchased and 4th most streamed going #1

Yeah, as much as I'm sick of Despacito and love Feels, I'm sick of all these phoney #1s.

#1 should reflect what was the most popular song that week. Wild Thoughts was not. Feels was not.

No big album releases this Friday other than Kesha who won't be going to #1 anyway, so I think Glen will probably take next week's #1 album.

Plus with the title "Adios" its a bit upsetting in a way, if you get what I mean

At this rate there is a chance that Despacito could be robbed of the record for most weeks at #1!

The second they released the ACR rules every record in place was safe from ever being broken. Records in the U.K. charts are an historic feature now. No longer relevant.

Maybe sales records as apparently they're still 100:1. But chart position records......finished.

To be fair, we have only had one song get to #1 because of the rules so far. Even Feels is not set in stone yet, and then that would only make it two.

I think people are getting a bit carried away over nothing at this point. People seem to be getting more worked up over the potential impact these changes can have on the chart, rather than what has actually happened so far.

Really rooting for Dua at this point. Forgot what the last solo female number 1 we had was.

I wouldn't say people are 'carried away', but on a chart forum it's fine to be confused and annoyed at a chart rule that distorts what #1 is, we may have only had one but I'm sure we'll have many many more.

'Hello' is the answer to your last question, so yeah, it's been a while.
