What are you basing this on? It was only 2k ahead of Feels at the end of last week and the gap has closed a lot on iTunes.

 

Last 2 days Spotify I have combined Despacito 1,725 ahead of Feels. As you say the gap has closed on iTunes but again combined Despacito is still ahead. So with combined versions Despacito remains ahead of Feels in both formats. Feels looks likely to lose 5-6k to Despacito via streaming and I cannot see a 5-6k swing to Feels from now to Thursday on iTunes.

 

Can I have some of the stats people have for Feels as it seems many think Feels will be Number 1.

 

EDIT: Found the ACR rules. I'd incorrectly put Despacito back on SCR. Feels looking good.

Estimates from mdh earlier today for the daily sales of each song:

 

Spotify:

Despacito - 510,000 / 300 = 1,700

Feels - 377,066 / 150 = 2,514

 

iTunes:

Despacito = 4,055

Feels = 3,711

 

OVERALL:

Despacito = 1,700 + 4,055 = 5,755

Feels = 2,514 + 3,711 = 6,255

I think Calvin will get a week and hoping Descapito does not go back to #1 the week after.

ACR!!! That's where my confusion is coming from. I hate it. For some reason I thought Despacito had increased its sales 2 weeks back and broke it's application for ACR inclusion. If it's on 300:1 then yes Calvin will be Number 1.

Actually it would be quite funny for Despacito to drop from #1 then return AGAIN to make it the first song in Chart history to have 4 runs at #1.

Whatever happens I hope we don't get a new no1 this week and then Despacito for a fourth stint the week after!!

Knowing Simon he'll have vetoed both those songs quite early on to avoid fatigue. He did the same a few years ago with people coming on doing Adele songs if memory serves me correctly!

 

Incidentally if what I'm reading is correct in recent weeks we could be seeing the first audition shows as late as September given he wants to cut the number of live shows down this year from 10 to 5 or 6?

Thankfully Despacito is quite a hard audition to sing!! Although Cowell may be desperate to promote some Spanish pop star with its current money making potential!

I'm sure we'll get a 'hilarious' montage of auditions of people trying to sing Despacito but completely forgetting the Spanish parts of it, and we'll probably also get a moment where Simon is visibly fed up of everyone auditioning with the song.
