It sounds like one of the weaker tracks on Witness, if it was on there ya'll would be hating it.

That's an insult too far.

My expectations weren't that high (*), but this is far better than I expected! :cheer:

(*) They never are when an artist experiments with a 'new' sound.

Her worst song, I'm very disappointed with her new sound. :(

She is very far from country now and even not pure pop singer anymore.

I've listened to this 80 times already :kink: I think now the initial hype has died down, I'd put this just under Shake It Off instead of this being better than that! The middle 8 is utterly glorious *.*

Not mad on it on first listen. I'm not a huge stan but really enjoyed her last album and was kinda relying on Taylor to bring a big pop song. This is...unexpected.

It'll probably grow but it's not what I was expecting or, tbh, hoping for.

Tbh I would probs like this if it was on witness since the production actually sounds finished unlike half of the album

Haha yeah it would definitely be a highlight on 'Witness'...

Solid comeback.

I don't think she needed to clear a sample for Right Said Fred anymore than she needed to clear a sample for Fergie - Fergalicious tbh.
I thought this long drawn out "feud" was over. She's really milking it now realising a whole album about it..
It's okay, I was expecting worse tbh. I kind of like it, but the lyrics are so cringeworthy, especially the old Taylor is dead line.
Enjoying this lots at the moment and I'm glad she come back with something quite different to 1989. I agree with those saying the chorus is probably the weakest part but it's already stuck in my head and the production on it is fantastic. Just glas she's back really and whilst I'm not loving this as much as most of the 1989 singles, it's another great track to add to her discography.
That's an AWFUL thing to say.

It's an awful song tbh.

The chorus reminds me of Meghan Trainor's "Me Too" more than anything else, which shouldn't be a good thing but it's so catchy. On first listen I'd have liked the chorus to explode, but by second listen I was used to it and completely in love.

Way better and more instant than "Shake It Off" was for me.

the whole 'the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now cos she's dead' thing is a bit gimmicky and cringeworthy
She's been like this for a while now  The moment I saw the title of the album I knew it was going to be the same kind of thing :')

The song is actually really catchy especially the chorus :music: haven't listened to the album tracks on Witness but I love the sassiness of it. Very instant. As usual I'll ignore the cringy lyrics haha :kink:

I kinda like this and I could see it growing on me a lot, but I 100% agree that that 'old Taylor can't pick up the phone' thing is kinda painful to listen to, I wouldn't mind this being Number 1 for half a year tho tbh, I can't see this getting as grating so fast

After two listens, I do like it but it's not her best lyrically. The production is great though and I personally love the spoken section. I thought it sounded more like "Me Too" than anything else on first listen.

This is probably playlisted on radio 1 *.* (there's a blank space on both the A list and B list!)

Clara just played it on her show and said it's on the play list.

I figured if she's doing a 'feud' album it would be directed at Kanye and Kim, not Katy P.

Yeah it's definitely aimed at them rather than Katy. The snake comments, the Pablo-style merch..
