Ooh this is way more sonically intriguing than I was expecting! I was a bit unsure on first listen, 'cause it felt a bit clunky in places and the chorus felt underwhelming when it followed on from the amazing building of the pre-chorus. But on second listen it is properly clicking with me, it's so catchy! The chorus also reminded me of Meghan Trainor's 'Me Too' more than anything haha. Killer production, love the Lorde vibes of the pre-chorus and that lyric video is quite something *.* this is already her best lead single for me.
This is incredible *.* Will comment in full when I get access to a computer but like she's gonna give us the album of the year again, I can feel it *.*

Don't really like the Lorde comparisons because the whole of Lorde's album is much more melodic than this.

I absolutely love the pre-chorus, it has the kinda punch the rest of the song is so lacking in. I also think making yet another diss song is uninspiring and boring. Is that the only artistic insight you have now, do you have nothing else you want to say as an artist who can use music to talk about anything? I just think it's a bit dull to launch with a track on the same subject matter as your last big hit.

Maybe it will grow but I think it's overall pretty average and lazy. Not bad by any means but definitely not the kinda shining moment she wants it to be. 6.5/10.0

I really want to like this :( but I wasnted some kid of dark pop banger, this is kinda....nothingy.

Plus a lto fo the lyrics are cringe. I want her to own her reputation and be strong and bile filled but most of the time she comes off as whiney and even when she tries to be

indipendent and strong it comes off as majorly "umm what are you doing?" :(

It's actually a Kanye disstrack, but still sad

No matter who it is about, she seems easily riled and it's not a good look overall.

She comes across very unlikable with these constant diss tracks. Get over it and stop trying to go for this 'i'm hard done by by the world, but i'm still a bad bitch so don't mess with me' persona constantly. That bad attitude also ends up effecting her artistic integrity (I sound like Natalia Kills rn, but still) as it makes her sound like a bitchy schoolgirl with nothing else to say apart from airing all her drama and dirty laundry in public constantly.

Shonda Rhimes has posted a trailer for the return of TGIT (Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder) on Instagram with "LWYMMD" as the soundtrack!
Actually, this does remind me a LOT of that Peaches track 'Operate' (the one which features in Mean Girls), I kind of thought that from the first listen.
Everytime I hear the vhorus, I hear the MTrain and 'if i was you i'd wanna be me too'

My first thought when listening to this was that she's been watching a lot of Arya Stark in Game of Thrones

I do agree with others that the fact it's a 'diss' track annoys me, she should take her own advice and shake it off ;o (but then she's not the only one guilty of that, I just hate musical 'feuds' in general projected through songs, honestly just grow the hell up) and 'the old Taylor can't come to the phone' lyric is utterly cringeworthy. Putting these aside though, I really like it on first listen :o really dark and intense and I think the chorus works in exemplifying the song's quiet rage, a big pop chorus wouldn't have worked with the theme. I'm more intrigued for the album now!

Although I must say, knowing about the Right Said Fred sample just makes this is a little less intense now...

Honestly the lyrics are some proper pathetic bullshittery. The pre-chorus is heavenly and I'm weirdly into it despite it being a f***ing mess structurally and having the lyrical integrity of a 50 Shades book. The mess is kinda part of its charm

I'm not sure about this myself after first listen, I was expecting something bigger sounding.

Also I wish she'd let the beef go and just stick to writing good pop songs like 'Style'.

I can't believe the love for this - the production is great, but the song is bloody terrible. Usually a fan of this sort of stuff, but it's terrible.

The verses aren't too bad, but not loving the chrous - talk about My Humps.

I've tried a few more times and with each passing play it gets even worse :( it really could well be her worst song yet.

The lead up was so on point; her owning the snake thing, the meaning behind the album title and artwork, but the product is just....ick.

Other than the sound being a bit more ellectic, this is just the same old victim thing.

Yeah I listened to it a few more times and it got worse. Don't know if it was just my headphones but it sounded so "nothingy". Like it finished and I was thinking "was this the same song I heard on the radio?".
