The ITV special was amazing! I would have liked her to mix it up with a couple more uptempos, but every performance was captivating and I can't fault her vocals! Yeah I really like it as a concept, primetime shows with plenty of live performances and some audience interaction. They wouldn't have to make masses upon masses, just a few every year to coincide with big name artist's album releases etc...

The moment when the English teacher came on stage was fantastic. I loved her shouting out to her mum in the audience and then acknowledging that she didn't want to be on camera. :lol:

I've been really enjoying the last part of the album from Parking Lot on much more than the first part

and now I see why, the first part is all cowritten and produced by Greg Kurstin, who I'm not a big fan

 

Pitchfork gave it a good 8.2 review, more realistic than those reviews claiming it's a perfect 10 or the 6/10 nonsense reviews from NME or the Guardian

prince did this in 1988 by very annoyingly making Lovesexy one long track that couldn't be skipped. It was infuriating paying £10 for 2 tracks and having to listen to other stuff to get to them. He didn't do it again.

 

So, singles Adele? I'm sorry, I listened to them randomly on You Tube where they are all available individually. And on Itunes where you can buy them individually. Consistency?

I strongly disagree. Her album clearly tells her story and there’s a way in which she intended for it to be listened to. She’s put her heart and soul into it and to say it’s all publicity isn’t fair. It’s not like all her songs are just handed to her and the order is irrelevant.

Apparently her BBC special back in 2015 got 4.5m viewers in the overnight figures so I'm surprised by how steady the 2021 figure is considering how much ratings are continuing to die off nowadays!

 

Thoroughly enjoyed it btw - such a talent, warm personality and the teacher reunion was beautiful :heart:

I think 4.4 million is pretty good figures if I’m honest. I didn’t expect it to get crazy viewing figures but that’s still 4.4 million people she’s reached and got extra promo for this album. Not too shabby at all and everyone’s raving about how good it was, so has got people talking.

 

I hope it can boost the album sales so we can reach at least 300k sales this week.
