Joe Weller moving to urban from dance? Would have preferred Joe Weller to provide some dance bits in this song as well as urban.

Taylor's lead seems to have peaked very early for now... P!nk making some (pretty negligible) gains in both of the last two updates.
It was such a speedy ascent, it would be impossible for her to keep up the pace considering that iTunes is weighted towards recent hours.

Skank, my posts spill pipin hot tea over you and your beige as unseasoned lettuce faves!!

Are you upset your fave released whatever THAT is? Pfft i'm not gonna fall over myself praising THAT when even bloody Swish Swish is better!! I'd say somethin about your sappy, soporific posts praising each hair on Taylor's legs as a Davinci, but you are microscopic and fail to register on my beefoscope.

And Mr Silver Rocket, if you come frying beef be prepared for a barbecue :)

And yah, no surprise aboot Taylor. Alsoran fans aside, no one is here for this retread of Me Too- one was enough!! It will be a flash no.1.

We should be comparing Taylor to Dua anyway, not Pink, who still doesn't really have a shot at #1 with her streaming. Taylor's got a 70% lead on Dua on iTunes. It'll be an easy #1 for Taylor even if she fell off #1 on iTunes by Sunday (which she won't)

My point still stands x

I'm not arguing that she's going to miss #1 (especially as she probably is going to be pretty dominant on Spotify, since they have gone all in on the promotion for her). It just seems that she's potentially peaked very early. Will be interesting to see how well her lead holds up over the week.

I wonder if Swift's single has given I'm Too Sexy an boost as Right Said Fred is credited in the song.

They have.

To be fair, 'Shake It Off' had quite a repetitive and fairly nothing-y chorus but it worked! I think this does similarly.

The second single (Blank Space) had a massive and explosive chorus, so maybe it'll be the same here?

Massive and explosive?

Nothing about that song was massive and explosive, I can't even remember how it goes as it is such a non-event.

The only decent songs from the era were Shake It Off and Bad Blood

Massive and explosive? Right

Glad to see "Swish Swish" climbing, hopefully it'll be in the top 10 later tonight or tomorrow with its constant green updates. Can see it becoming a decent sized hit here!

I hope Capital re-playlist it and she gets back onto Hot Hits UK on Spotify.

It's certainty a moment for Swish. It still could go either way, but everything is pointing to a second wind at the moment. It needs Capital support and A list from R1. I'm sceptical about Hot Hits, but it's stupid not to re-add it really?

Like I keep saying though, is that not entirely dictated by the record label buying a spot on that playlist?

It's sometimes the label, sometimes by Spotify themselves, but either way we still don't know if the label will splash out or not.
