Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter. One of the leading contemporary recording artists, she is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage.

 

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Swift moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 14 to pursue a career in country music. She signed with the label Big Machine Records and became the youngest artist ever signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house. Her self-titled debut album in 2006 peaked at number five on the Billboard 200 and spent the most weeks on the chart in the 2000s. The album's third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Hot Country Songs chart. Wow... Amazing high new entry, I'm not a fan of it though, my problem with it is the title of the track, I keep on thinking its a Nickelback track :lol:

 

I sometimes wonder what goes through your head.

I mean, rockstar is very catchy and I can hear why it's doing well from that perspective, but it's still pretty mystifying :lol: I guess it's just the result of Congratulations being a very slow burner, and now this is able to make an instant impression off the back of it.

Havana is surprisingly good given that Crying in the Club was so bad. Really like it.

 

Reggaeton Lento though, not a fan at all. Such a horrible example of anglo appropriation of other cultures. Hope it drops soon.

Alecia Beth Moore (born September 8, 1979), known professionally as Pink (frequently stylized as P!nk), is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actress. Bit annoying P!nk keeps getting stuck unable to move past #3.

Oh wow at Post Malone grabbing a top 5 debut, he was still #11 in the last mids wasn't he :o fabulous though, hope he can make it to #1 next week :heart:

 

R1 actually didn't mangle the hook as much as I expected, surprised they didn't censor 'smoking like a rasta' for example. Still sounds better uncensored but the edit doesn't make it totally unlistenable.

Didn't like Rockstar at all on first listen, one of those that I'm mystified as to why it's so huge. I can see the mass commercial appeal in some of the other huge hip-hop songs but not this really :lol:
