She won’t get paid that money

Why not, if she wrote the song and performs it, i can only assume the money from sales would see her receive a percentage of it?

It depends what rights she gave up when she signed the XF contract. She might still get a share, but almost certainly not the full amount she would have gotten otherwise.

It's crazy that Grace and Rak-Su will probably have already sold more copies of an original song than numerous previous X Factor winners.

I doubt it especially given how low i-tunes sales are... the worst selling XF winners song must still be around the 150k for Brookstein (or was that 150k for the first week sales?) which neither other 2 acts are going to anywhere near based on the sales of i-tunes.

Probably 5k at best by the end of the week

EDIT - forgot about the poor sales of Louisa - but I think even hers must be more than what either will do

EDIT EDIT - Just found a list of all first week sales:

40,000 - Shayne Ward: That's My Goal

580,000 - Alexandra Burke: Hallelujah:

570,000 - Leona Lewis: A Moment Like This

490,000 - James Arthur: Impossible

450,000 - Joe McElderry: The Climb

440,000 - Matt Cardle: When We Collide

280,000 - Leon Jackson: When You Believe

210,000 - Ben Haenow: Something I Need

210,000 - Little Mix: Cannonball

150,000 - Sam Bailey: Skyscraper

130,000 - Steve Brookstein: Against All Odds

46,000 - Matt Terry: When Christmas Comes round (includes 11,000 'streaming sales')

40,000 - Louisa Johnson: Forever Young (includes 3,500 'streaming sales')

so erm... not even close

EDIT EDIT EDIT - thats assuming you meant vs their first singles

Nooooo, I was talking about original songs, so not including covers! :P I know they won't sell 100,000+, but the likes of Steve Brookstein and Leon Jackson never charted in the top 100 with an original song.

Leon actually had 2 top 100 singles after his winner song

DONT CALL THIS LOVE which charted at number 3 behind pink and Geraldine McQueen(peter Kay spoof) The winners song

Creative which charged at 94 ;)

In other x factor news have Reggie N Billie troubled the top 1000

Rita Jumps from 63% to 70% in one update and this weekend she's on X Factor, what an era for her.. Don't get her why not to release an album like now, or next month. All the hype will die until 2018.
Massive update for Rita but awful for Camila. Surely she can't mess this week up As long as she keeps the gap over Rockstar then that will be fine.
