I do wonder what Taylor Swift is going to do if her record label doesn’t exclude one of her current hits from the chart, otherwise the latest track can’t enter (3 track per artist minimum). I think they should exclude Gorgeous so she can rack up another top 20 hit pre album release

Streaming was 92.25% of the total singles market this week - a record yet again.

Let's have a look at the streaming chart for 30/12/2016 (which takes into account the festive streaming period): http://www.officialcharts.com/charts/audio.../20161230/7507/

Yeah, I think the Christmas songs will do ok.. :P

I'm of course fine with Xmas song doing well for a week or two but not 7 weeks LOL and that's why I'm glad the streaming audience doesn't care just yet.

Neither do the bigger audience yet - I'm sure Mariah was at no350 in this weeks chart but they are building :)
 33. David Guetta & Afrojack - Dirty Sexy Money (feat. Charli XCX & French Montana)
Katie Melua's track is a cover version of Sting's hit, a really good take of it actually.
She was on BBC breakfast news this morning which has maybe helped a bit
Any SLFN effects this week?

 193. Dizzee Rascal - Bop N Keep It Dippin

So no, not really

Katie Melua coming for that 2nd number 1 with a cover of another Eva Cassidy cover!!!!
Oh, maybe I underestimated her. I just assumed she would do nothing as she hasn't been relevant for years.
She'll still do nothing overall as she will get like 5 streams lol ~ but that isn't a bad showing on iTunes. Having said that, IIRC Craig David's CIN single got to #2 on iTunes and still missed the top 40 oop.
think the katie melua cover of fields of gold is not on spotify, wasn't there last time i checked
