She should have, and probably spend a bit more time working on other, better tracks :teresa:

Tbf I think they are probably the worse tracks on the album, she clearly got the scraps off his studio floor (although I have a soft spot for pack your shit)

Mel C is reet about VB tbh!! She actually does have a good voice. It's just deep and works really well in harmonies.
Mel B's album has A LOT of session singers on it let's be fair. Again if you want to prove you can sing sing every note and sing live and perform.

I never understood that. It’s as if she recorded the lead vocal for the demos she was given and then was like “done!”

Such a pity. I love Mel B voice. Victoria is not the best singer, but she’s definitely not the worst. And when they were 4, I enjoyed a lot their harmonies. The 4 of them were amazing live.. but still, without Geri they lacked a bit of spice.

I’d say Victoria is essential for great harmony and provided some of the best solo lines (see Goodbye middle8).

Same comments as usual from Victoria!

"I had so much fun being in the Spice Girls but I think that now with everything else that I've got going on with my fashion and my beauty line, four children, I couldn't commit to that - I love the girls, I really enjoy singing Spice Girls when I do karaoke but I think I'd better leave it there."

Recently she's taken to using her "four children" as a reason for her not to do it, implying that they consume her time. I'm not saying that's not valid, although we're only a few months off her second youngest being an adult! The other girls have young kids and juggle different careers too. I appreciate that Victoria is probably trying to find a fluffy way of excusing herself from it rather than a more blunt "I just don't want to do it, even if there were no other commitments".

Although another train of thought is that these girls either love to tease us, or keep things quiet - but never confirm until it's actually happening. So there's no real point in Victoria confirming any involvement with Spice Girls until it's actually happening. Like the other girls with their coy "Glastonbury haven't asked us" schtick they've recently taken to saying.

I do struggle to ever see Victoria rejoin them for anything involving the stage. An insider teased recently that festivals would involve her, but it's so difficult to see it ever happening with her. She seems like a nervous personality even just sitting down in an interview. It's been over a decade since her last performance, can we imagine her suddenly performing on stage with 100,000+ pairs of eyes looking at her? Plus the knowledge of millions watching at home? Hmm...

She looks like she's tearing up in those thumbnails.
Whether she does or doesn't (I'm pretty convinced 5 will be at Glastonbury) you will never get confirmation on some random TV interview with her. If/when she ever returns they will want it to be a big shock announcement.

Who Do You Think You Are so iconic that it’s in her Top 5 twice! :o :’)

I seem to remember in the past that she said Too Much was her favourite.

I wonder if one of the songs she meant to say instead of WDYTYA is Say You’ll Be There?

I also agree it’s a bit meh that she had to have a card with them written down to be able to share what her own favourite songs from the group are.

I'd assume Say You'll Be There was meant as her number one pick.

Hot damn not this discussion again.

I really wish this whole 'will you reunite with the girls' would just be stopped by the press and the girls themselves. It is clear she is not interested and focusing on this EVERY SINGLE INTERVIEW is boring and disrespectful to everyon involved, including us.

I wish the girls themselves would stop saying that too at this stage, as it just creates expectations. Same thing with Glastonbury, just stop. Im so bored of it all....

and NO VICTORIA I AM NOT HERE FOR A SHITTING HOLOGRAM TOUR FFS!!!

'she doesn't understand blending' will always be iconique :teresa:

OMG! Emma said that!? I liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive! :yahoo:

It was Teddy Riley who she had a bad experience with! ABC 123, I Believe and Pack Your Shit came from sessions with him. Even as early as an October 2000 interview she said that he was "a bit up in own arse".

The irony: those songs are certainly not the strongest from Hot. Although I have a little soft spot for the vibe of ABC 123 and Pack Your Shit. :teresa:

I never understood that. It’s as if she recorded the lead vocal for the demos she was given and then was like “done!”

Maybe she didn't have much of a choice given that Forever was about to rear its ugly head in less than a month after Hot was released, including the 11.2 seconds worth of Forever promotion that they had to do. :teresa:

I mean she didn't say no she wouldn't do Glastonbury she totally ignored that part of the question which is interesting.

Although she would hardly confirm that she IS doing the show I wish she would give a straight answer as to whether she WOULD do the show or not. Like its so tedious hearing the same "we haven't been asked" but at least those three have all said that they would indeed do it if asked, while Victoria doesn't even confirm if she would for a one off event like this or not.

(With the assumption of Victoria secretly knowing that she'd be involved in Glastonbury) - I suppose if Victoria outright said at this point that she would do it if they were asked, then that kind of opens up the floodgates in the way that it doesn't if one of the other girls mentions it. Probably too soon for that... if it's ever going to happen.

I think she got nervous because her actual favorite song is Spice Invaders. She chickened out saying it out loud at the last minute and went with WDYTYA again

Love this post. Put a huge smile on my face.

Glastonbury with Victoria will be a moment, it will be another Olympics. They played the exact same game leading up to the Olympics 'love to do it haven't been asked'.

You wont know until they want you to know and that defo wont be on some random chat show.

I doubt they will do Glastonbury and I would rather not expect that to happen, specially not as a 5-piece.

Victoria is over it, clearly, and good for her. It is about time we move on from that too.
