He's playing on the left and playing really well there! He's scored some cracking goals this year, the one at the weekend was no exception. Quality strike. He certainly has that potential and I'm so glad he's playing really well again. All looking promising for the future.

Haven't you already done the deal for him? Mingolet has got to go, but I keep hearing people compare Karius to De Gea. DDG didn't get off to the best start and now he's arguably the best keeper in the world. So maybe worth sticking at it. Certainly need defensive re-inforcements. Last time I watched you play there was too many basic defensive errors. That having been said, it hasn't stopped city running away with it. (Tho I think that's because too many people have sat back, given them too much respect and space and not pressed their back 4. Including us. We were woeful against them and they were average at best. Completely there for the taking)

Karius won't make it, he's not good enough in my opinion. Apparently we are after Allison the Roma keeper but not until the summer. Personally I don't think our defence is too bad.Our problem is that because of the way we play, when we take the foot off the gas, we find it hard to soak up pressure. This is something the team needs to learn. Like Man City, we play a high press and leave our defenders vulnerable and exposed. It's all in the system.

Mkhi's looking like he is getting a great deal. Move to London, high profile club, practically guaranteed more games, likely getting a shit-ton more money.

The problem is... obviously he doesn't really want to go there.

Sad to see Miki go :( Never felt like he truly reached his potential. He had some good runs of matches but seemed to lack consistency.

So we've broken even/made a 0-£3m profit on Miki then given we were paying £30m for Sanchez.

It's going to feel weird for me to support Alexis Sanchez and to wish the best for him. For years I've wanted him and Arsenal as a whole to fail at every hurdle, especially since I discovered ArsenalFanTV , so it's going to be quite hard for me to switch mentality suddenly but I'm sure I will grow to accept him as one of our own. When we signed Robin Van Persie it was more of an instant affection that I and most United fans had for him.

Swap confirmed and formally announced just now with Sanchez playing the tune to GGMU on the piano.

Only joined us for money my arse

I'm glad that this transfer is over and done with now, the talk about this transfer in the media has been a bit excessive in my opinion.

Hopefully Sanchez will prove to be a good signing for us and I will always remember Miki's time at Man United fondly even if it was only for one year. It's awkward because I want Henrik as an individual to do well in the near future but I want Arsenal to lose nearly every match

lol what a load of bull this is, I can't seriously believe that he's always wanted to play for a club that is going backwards and hasn't won a league title in 14 years, has a divisive and toxic fanbase, a manager that is as stubborn as they come. Jose Mourinho is the reason why he left us, you can see it in his face as he gives this interview.

Good deal for both teams and both players.

Arsenal are seemingly in for Aubameyang as well, which does beg the question of what on earth they're going to do with Lacazette. He must have been quite excited at the prospect of playing behind Mkhitaryan, Oezil and Wilshere.

Yeah that's absolute utter tosh, but he kinda has to say that to make it look like he's happy with the transfer!

Pretty chuffed with that swap, obviously Sanchez is only coming to us for the money but even a half-arsed Sanchez is still better than most players in the league so I'll take it.

How do we see Sanchez doing?

He'll do fine, I would be surprised if he posts anywhere near his Arsenal figures as Manchester United play nothing like Arsenal. I am interested to see where they play him, as he hates playing right-wing.

He clearly didn't join for money, he wants to win leagues. But his salary is a disgrace!

Surely if he wanted to win the league he would have gone to Man City? Of course he wants to win trophies etc. and he has a great chance of doing that with Man Utd. Interesting to see how it works out anyhow, all their massive signings have been fairly lackluster so far.

There’s a lot of shite floating about on money. The Daily Mail added 200k to his salary in about 5 hours the other week. From what I understand the source of a lot of the salary rumours has been City rather than United - mainly because the origin has been journalists well connected at City. Those well connected at United are putting out a lower number than has been thrown around
