Circumstances aside, it was amazing to see a track as old as One Last Time have such a long run in the top 40 this year, something that's a lot harder for non-current songs to do now in the streaming era!

Issues is a fantastic forward-thinking pop track I think, sounds like nothing else around and I'm glad it's managed good longevity!

Yeah, it stands out in the same way "Sign Of The Times" and "Green Light" did for me in that respect. I think Amy Shark's "Adore" is the only track I can think of from this year that I'd compare to "Issues".

Adam Richard Wiles (born 17 January 1984), known professionally as Calvin Harris, is a Scottish record producer, DJ, singer and songwriter. His debut studio album I Created Disco was released in June 2007, and was the precursor to his UK top 10 singles "Acceptable in the 80s" and "The Girls". Once I got over the shell-shock of Calvin's sound change, I ended up really really loving this track. Such a tune. And Calvin has really stood out this year.

Little Mix are a British girl group formed in 2011 during the eighth series of the UK version of The X Factor. They are the first and, so far, only group to win the competition. Seems like the trick to making the year-end chart nowadays is to be a hit in January or February, or ideally the year before!

 

True. I think 1st quarter would slowly no longer became significant dead period thanks to streaming weaken the effect and I predict more big profile pop artists would start to drop new material after how 'Divide' era end up dominate this year pop music despite SOY was released on early January. :)

Paris is such a warm song to listen to and chill out. Shame Emily Warren never got credited for her verses.

Amazing that 'Power' ended up being so huge. Probably their most 'out there' single.

 

I forgot 'Paris' even existed. It somehow sounds worse than it did back in January.
