to me it’s that kind of 10/10 song you rarely get; production / context / melody perfection; you throw in an examplorary video and yeah 10/10; this will be in my all time top 50...

Yeah this is my favourite song of the year.

It's GOOD but I don't love it.

 

It's a catchy and infectious song but something is missing from the song (maybe the chorus could have a bit more oomph?). I do hope Ariana does well and I'm looking forward to this campaign and hope we get a song as good as 'One Last Time'.

This gets so addictive! Such a perfect song to kick off the Summer!

Unfortunately not yet. Problem peaked at #2 (blocked by Fancy I think?). Bang Bang/Break Free/Side To Side are her other top 5's.

Yeah problem was definitely blocked by fancy, I remember all the fuss over Iggy having both of the top two songs 😂

My current reason for living is the "ahh ahh ahh"s in the chorus, such a small thing that totally boosts how euphoric and uplifting the song is. I can't remember the last time a song was so uplifting but poignant at the same time :wub:

She's selling at a faster rate than last week's #1 was, and that was the highest #1 sales of the year. So circumstances seem VERY unlucky for her, in fact, it looks as though she would have been #1 every single week this year apart from this one.

I'm not usually a fan of Ariana (I only really like 'Love Me Harder' and 'Into You' prior to this) but this is a great comeback from her, absolutely love the chorus.

 

The first time I heard it I did think it started off really promisingly (almost a bit of a Madonna 'Frozen' vibe?) but then started going downhill after the beat drop but the rest of the song has already grown on me after a couple more listens.

i love the combination of ari’s voice and max’s production; it’s like a master musician working with a Stradivarius

 

those inflective / melodic turns...then the quirks in production are punctuated SO well with the optics of her voice
