Hoping for something dark with more electronica influences, but less Kygo styled stuff. Ellie on trap influenced stuff would sound great.

What I'm really NOT hoping for is more sappy John Lewis ballads the likes of which she continues to jump on to get an easy hit.

Some interesting features would be nice too. Maybe she could bring back people she's worked with in the past like Tinie Tempah, now their fortunes have reversed a bit.

Honestly just hoping something for that's not trend-chasing and a bit more authentic from her! Lights and Halcyon despite their differences in sound felt natural whereas Delirium and Bright Lights were just a bit messy - she is a great artist and I think she's enough of a name nowadays to not follow the trends anymore!

all her albums have great songs (Lights, Figure 8, Army)

hope she is involved in the songwriting

hate it how her biggest singles are other people's songs (LMLYD, Burn)

She mentioned that the album is 'almost done', so I hope there will be an announcement soon.

From Instagram:

My fourth record is almost done (scary times) but I have been making classical music the past year in the evenings for a secret project and wanted to post this for you because it makes me so happy that I get to make music as a job! 💫

oh my :/ and she said yes to work with sean paul on bad love?? and that awful kygo song :/
If Jess Glynne could get a top 10 single after a three year gap between albums, I’m sure Ellie will be fine following a platinum third album.

“I have sort of gone back to basics and am doing a lot of the writing on my own," she told the Evening Standard. "I mostly collaborated with songwriters on the first three albums, so this is a step in a new direction."

Exciting :o

Jess did have the Rudimental feature at the start of the year, which I imagine definitely helped I'll Be There.

Yeah I agree... I want her to do well, but even the last album went 3-13

But then it spent 15+ weeks in the top 20 and platinum overall. I think a Q4 release wouldn’t hurt but she isn’t going to pull in near decent numbers from a Q1 release.
