That's insane considering they didn't have any huge streaming hits this year like they did in 2017/18.

Little Mix's Top 20 biggest singles on the Official Chart

04 January 2021 | By Rob Copsey

Since beating the odds to be crowned winners of The X Factor in 2011, Little Mix have tirelessly turned out hit records and now rank among the UK's great girlbands of all time.

Potentially on course for their fifth Number 1 single with Sweet Melody this Friday, Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie have amassed 18.9 million chart sales across their 27 Top 40 singles, as well as 3.4 million album chart sales. View Little Mix's full Official Charts history here.

Four of the group's singles have already reached Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, but are they their four biggest overall? Here's how they stack up.

Cannonball

Official Chart Peak: Number 1

Released: 2011

Combined sales: 548,000

The group's lowest selling Number 1 is their X Factor winner's single - a cover of Damien Rice's Cannonball, which was a Top 40 hit for the folk musician in 2003. Placing 15th in their all-time Top 20, it's a song Little Mix rarely acknowledge these days, but knowing that Simon Cowell probably didn't even considered them show champions when selecting the winner's single makes it slightly more palatable.

Wings

Official Chart peak: Number 1

Released: 2012

Combined sales: 893,000

Little Mix's first single proper was a life-affirming banger encouraging everyone to live their best life. It spent a week at Number 1 and has aged remarkably well, placing eighth on their Top 20 with 40.7 million streams logged to date, despite being released two years before streaming records began.

Move

Official Chart Peak: Number 3

Released: 2013

Combined sales: 684,000

It may be their lowest charting album lead single (heading up their second record Salute), but Move is one of their most acclaimed, mostly for its killer harmonies and wonky structure. It places 12th on their Top 20 chart.

Hair

Official Chart Peak: Number 11

Released: 2015

Combined sales: 870,000

Hair is the group's biggest single to miss the Top 10, and in terms of chart sales, outperforms some of their higher charting songs including Salute, DNA and Word Up. Hair was first released as a teaser track ahead of their Get Weird album, before being upgraded to single status in 2016 with a new mix featuring Sean Paul.

Secret Love Song

Official Chart Peak: Number 6

Released: 2015

Combined sales: 1.23 million

Little Mix's biggest ballad ranks at Number 5 in their Top 20, topping one million chart sales. The collaboration with Jason Derulo - who co-wrote the song - was apparently inspired by the group's Radio 1 Live Lounge cover of his single Want To Want Me.

Touch

Official Chart Peak: Number 4

Released: 2016

Combined sales: 1.53 million

Despite missing the top spot, Touch is one of Little Mix's most successful singles. The MNEK-produced track spent ten weeks in the Top 10, six of which were spent stuck at Number 4. It narrowly misses out on being their most streamed song, with a massive 141 million plays to date.

Shout Out To My Ex

Official Chart Peak: Number 1

Released: 2016

Combined sales: 1.83 million

This kiss-off anthem - released a few months after Perrie's split from Zayn Malik - charged straight in at Number 1 and spent three weeks there, shifting 95,000 chart sales in it's opening week. It was also the only chart-topping single that year with a female lead - Girl Power indeed!

When it comes to albums, Little Mix have shifted just shy of 3 million (2.98m) across their five records. 2017's Glory Days finishes on top with a mighty 1.16 million chart sales, followed by 2015's Get Weird on 892,000.

Their debut album DNA is approaching the half million mark with 462,000 combined sales, while their second collection Salute is fourth on 417,000. 2018's LM5 is on 298,000, and finally 2020's Confetti has racked up 125,000 to date.

If Woman Like Me can become a million seller on the new ratio it gives me hope for Sweet Melody!
Only You sold 15K already? I swear it only went Platinum last month.

Little longer - it was certified Platinum on 16th October (11 weeks ago, so ~1.4k a week).

Make that 10 weeks (going by the sales of 'Confetti') so ~1.5k a week.

'Confetti' sold 16k on its 7th week (when at #8).
