This isn't good. Everything seems a directionless mess.

It's very 'nothing is sticking, we should find a leftover from 2007 and make it relevant with a rapper we can afford'

It's terrible

the main problem with this is that it’s a song for a teenager to sing. is this really what a 34 year old woman wants to sing about?
Not all of us tbf

you weren't even born when she released Sk8er Boi ~

Damn, that made me feel so old.

I don't think age should dictate what she releases. I think at this point in her career, Avril knows she isn't gonna get big hits so she's just doing what she wants.

BOP, but I don't see how this fits in with the album really based on the previews  Nicki's feature is very bog standard and unnecessary as well.

This seems the opposite of that though. It sounds completely out of place judging by the previews of the album. The Nicki feature and the fact it appeared out of nowhere suggests the label pushed for it.

i don’t have an issue with anyone making music at any age of any sort, but an artist at 34 singing about the same issues when she was 22 with shoehorned features and songwriting do make you question if it was part of avril’s artistic vision or was pushed by the label.

You don't need to feel quite so old as I was 5 when it came out lol x

Dumb Blonde sounds like some crappy reject from Bonnie McKee's 2015 EP.
After a pretty decent comeback in "Head Above Water", this new one pretty damned atrocious. Sounds like it could've been written by (and for) a 10-year-old. Oh dear :(

Agreed, it just seems like that she's being pushed to replicate that Girlfriend/What The Hell/Here's To Never Growing Up kind of sound as that's pretty much all she's had hits with this decade. She can't really peddle the same things as 12 years ago again and again that we've heard 50 times already, especially when the song is as terrible and obviously shoehorned as this. I guess that is just my opinion but... nah just doesn't sit right with me.

After 'Head above water's I was so excited about the album...

Not even going to give it a listen now. 2 shocking tacks since..

Quite a few strong tracks.

Dumb Blonde is definitely out of place on here.

Such an empowering album

The album is number one on UK iTunes :o

It would be nice to see this debut in the top 10, she's up against FGL in America so she has no chance of debuting at #1 but I can see her debuting between #6-10 in America too. 'Dumb Blonde' really needs a video asap though.

I think its one of her best albums for a while. I don't think she'll ever release another let go or under my skin, but this one is really good...ignoring the disaster that is dumb blonde of course
