People are underestimating the cultural impact of 'Addison Lee'. But I agree that Not3s would not necessarily score instant hits. This new one hasn't been played on the radio or pushed anywhere as far as I know. Does sound like a hit though.

I think its risen heavily over the weekend because of the video (or video teaser). Sounds like it could be a hit though :)

Neither have the new Hardy Caprio, Dave or MoStack ones, to my knowledge, yet they all managed to debut in the top 40. If anything I'm just baffled at how Hardy particularly can debut top 40 when all he'd previously had was a #45 hit which didn't have 'Addison Lee' esque cultural impact.

Whoever/whatever it is

Charts aren't the only way to determine the popularity of a song... Not3s didn't just come out of nowhere with 'My Lover'.

Summer of 69 never went too 40 but I’m fairly certain everyone and their mums know that song

Yes its surprising that didn't go top 40, I also assumed until I found out recently that another of Bryan Adams well known songs from the 80s, Run To You (my fave of his) must have made top 5, but it only reached #11. Rage's excellent dance version in 1992 of course made top 5!

Well I'd say they are on a national scale. Obviously it would vary if we look at demographics or social groups but to the general music listening public, My Lover is the first thing they've heard.

Well yes but it was very much helped by the momentum of Aladdin and Addison Lee which were both minor chart hits and streamed well. A lot of acts these days have a few minor hits before making it in the chart proper especially in the urban genre.

Oh I'm well aware, and I'm sure they helped My Lover get off to such a quick start, but I don't think the vast majority people had any idea who Not3s was until the Mabel remix of My Lover started getting airplay, which is the point I was making. Fair enough if he's picked up a following in certain circles but I don't think your average streamer would've known Not3s at all before My Lover, much like how people wouldn't have known Dua Lipa existed until Hotter Than Hell, despite Be the One making a big impact on this forum for example.

I think the chart in the on air/sale era are very much what they were like in the 70s/80s where it was very rare for newer artists to debut really high until they had established themselves - I mean groups like Wham/Duran Duran etc didn't get to no1 usually until the beginning of their second eras. Which these days is after 4/5 buzz singles which could continue over a 2 year period before the debut album a bit like Dua Lipa and now artists like Anne Marie!
Big climb for Perfect :drama:

 07. Bebe Rexha - Meant to Be

 13. Zedd - The Middle

 18. Ed Sheeran - Perfect

 48. Meghan Trainer - No Excuses

Thought dancing on ice would have an effect :w00t:

I wonder if comedian Ken Dodd will make an impact in the charts, sadly he passed away.

Keala is back up to #6 :o Any particular reason? She was down at #11 two days or so ago! Or is it just really close between the 6-11 section?

Ken Dodd:

95. Happiness

1215. Love Me With All Your Heart (Cuando Calienta El Sol)

Is 'Tears' not on iTunes then? Seems odd that isn't back considering it was the third biggest selling song of the 1960s.
