March 21, 20187 yr Did people really think a performance on Sunday Brunch or whatever it's called would generate sales? My Grandma, who watches it religiously every week and is part of a demographic that is a large part of the target audience, would not be going onto iTunes and grabbing a copy of "YES" - acoustic or not  (And 'acoustic' is certainly much more fitting for Sunday Brunch!) Come on you lot please be realistic! Sunday Brunch frequently provides boosts
March 22, 20187 yr This song needs a X Factor performance so badly, with a great staging it would be even bigger !
March 22, 20187 yr I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before or not (sorry if it was), but there's a 'no rap edit' version of the song. It has been sent to UK radio through HitDisc compilation this week and the length is 2:44 min.
March 22, 20187 yr Author This song needs a X Factor performance so badly, with a great staging it would be even bigger ! X Factor doesn't start for like half a year?
March 22, 20187 yr X Factor doesn't start for like half a year? Yes sorry, I mean I wish there was a show like X Factor she could perform YES! on now, as the song would really translate very well in such a big staging!
March 22, 20187 yr I never understand the fan boy hysteria for Louisa (Which is odd for me as I usually love any old sh!te). Even if this does scrape the Top 40 then what? Her previous hits are long enough ago to be forgotten so she is essentially needing to totally restart her career in order to get an album released and she needs 2-3 huge big selling hits for that to happen which feels like an impossible feat at the moment. I’m not sure what else Syco can do? They have done duets, collaborations, pulled in big remixers, bought places on streaming playlists, done the whole 59p iTunes thing with most releases, name change... the general public are just not interested and releasing a track that sounds like it should have been a 2001 Christina b-side is not going to change that. I'm on this page too. No longer a hater of her but tbh baffled by the small pockets of diehard fans she's managed to drum up from what's been a pretty uninspired career so far.
March 22, 20187 yr People just like someone who has a good personality, and is producing actual pure fun pop as there isn't much in the charts right now. That's all there is to it.
March 23, 20187 yr I'm on this page too. No longer a hater of her but tbh baffled by the small pockets of diehard fans she's managed to drum up from what's been a pretty uninspired career so far. It's recognising the potential she has and willing her to fulfill it. She has more than proven she has it with this single.
March 23, 20187 yr I still think Yes could still be a relative hit if it gets added on Hot Hits and airplay keeps increasing. At least it's within the top 40 on iTunes, It's actually climbing a bit with increasing airplay. The video isn't out either yet and if that's HUGE it could push it a little more. March 23, 20187 yr Yeah. It's held up really nicely on iTunes. I expected it to miss top 40 for the first few weeks, but it needs streaming support. I really hope the video is what the song deserves. Not another 'Best Behaviour' scenario thanks x
March 23, 20187 yr I know her career has not had a stellar start but she has not done extremely badly either like a lot of other X Factor winners. So Good went Gold, Best Behaviour and Unpredictable went silver and Tears (with Clean Bandits) went Platinum. Lets not say that she has not achieved anything. Chart positions alone are not everything anymore. She does have 4/4 certified singles. Also, I love 'Yes' and am willing it to do well.
March 23, 20187 yr Ideally we would have a live performance throughout the week and a 59p discount / video release next Friday! Radio is supporting this so I actually have faith it will at least manage to be a top twenty hit.

Agree she’s had some certified singles but let’s face it most acts seem to achieve that now (Even songs that miss the atop 100 seem to manage a silver award!). The biggest issue for Louisa is despite some Silver/Gold awards the songs are essentially forgotten now and she would be unable to launch an album off the back of them - she is starting from zero and as I said in my earlier post she needs 2-3 big selling hits to be able to launch an album, even if ‘Yes’ does well I can’t see it being huge.
March 23, 20187 yr Yes I agree. She has not had a song that has really caught on with the general public. I still hope Yes can make an impact. I looked on Spotify at the cities where she is listened to most. I thought the top 5 cities would all be in the UK/Ireland. However they are: London, Dublin, Bangkok, Singapore and Istanbul! I didn't think she was known at all outside UK/Ireland.
