Not shocked but neon Nights isn't top 100 here in Ireland this week. Great to see it chart again in the UK but if I'm honest I'd hoped it woukd be higher.

I'm not too bothered it it's not in danger of reaching a new peak. It's an extra bonus week on the chart and a few extra sales.

It feels so strange having a Dannii song or album chart higher in Aus than in the UK!

It is also the 20th birthday of Dannii Minogue’s second and last Top 10 album, Neon Nights, and it has also been issued in a new, expanded edition. No.8 in 2003, it makes its first chart appearance since, re-entering at No.55 with consumption in the week of 2,564 units boosting its career tally to 113,114.

110,550 copies to prior to last week (w/e 22 June 2023) - last total was 107,328 the w/e 5th July 2018 which was 259 weeks ago, so that works out as an average of 12 copies per week (or 12.44 to be exact).

 

The w/e 5th July 2018 was when the 15th anniversary was released and the album entered at #89 with 1,160 copies - 1,404 copies less than it sold last week.

Although for a relatively low selling Top 10 album and a singing career that Dannii left behind it’s done well to be fondly remembered.

I don't even think 12 copies per week is that bad for an album from a minor pop star who's never been much of an album seller :lol: Go compare how much the Spice Girls solo albums sell on average if you want to see some horrid bombs.

Gerita actually shifts 1000+ copies of each of her albums per week, but since she doesn't want to make the other girls look bad she's forbidden OCC to count them -_-

So neon Nights roughly sells 50 copies a month, roughly 600 a year, I know it's low but in 10 years time that would bring the album to nearly 200,000. I'd love know how many copies a week kylies albums sell, I wonder would danniis hits and beyond be selling more on a monthly basis than neon Nights?

That's not right, with the average sales it achieves every week it would be more like approaching 120,000 in 10 years from now.

I’m disappointed! But then again charts are ruined by streaming and Dannii sucks there sadly

Girls aloud made 42 with their rerelease.

Girls aloud were so close to top 40 it's annoying it just missed out. Looks like musically girl re release is next for dannii but based on neon Nights I'm not convinced of it getting a new peak.

Girl Australia will do well if she follow the same formula. As for the UK, I would say she would have to do maybe a few sign in appearances? Would that help?

I think it would, it's not like she does them often or will be doing often in the future.

At least Dannii should aim for a top 30 for Girl. If only they could go to the vaults of 1995-Girl and add some unheard Dannii tracks of those eras. Would sweeten the deal!

Dannii is back in AUS , she was over hear for IKAB!
