Guessing it will be released prior to the album then?

Makes sense - doesn't make sense to pay Initial Talk to do a remix and then not try to do something more with it.

Yes, it just says ‘coming soon’.

Hopefully we’ll get it in the next week or so as I’m sure they’ll want to use it as a tool to keep pre-orders ticking over.

The free signed CD with the Boxset has now sold out (The Boxset is available on its own now) - there were 1,000 available so that bodes well for how well the reissue has been received (appreciate all of those are not UK sales too as Townsend ship globally).

Impressive for that format to have sold 1,000+ already! :o Particularly with it being £35 (I know there's a lot of tracks on it to make it worthwhile, but still).

As you say, that is 1,000 worldwide, but I'm wondering what we could expect for Neon Nights in the UK charts. I think she did so well to re-enter the Top 100 with it in 2018. Back then, she sold 1,160 to get to #89, with 1,150 of that being physicals (I would assume it was 100% the two vinyl variants, but you never know if some CDs managed to sell) [Edit: Totally forgot that there was a new CD version in 2018!] and 10 streaming. No downloads. Whereas this time there's Vinyl, CD/DVD, CD Boxset, Cassette. It's hard to predict but I'd like to think it'll be another return to the Top 100 at least.

I wonder if the new version of the album, or any of the singles from the boxset, will become available as a download or streaming... or if it'll all remain exclusive physically?

It's a shame really that she won't put out new actual music, because I feel that in this market she'd likely get a top ten album if she went all out with physicals. Considering how many times she's now milked Neon Nights (2007, 2018), the fact that she can sell out 1000+ so fast on pre-orders is a good sign.

I guess that’s part of the reason - a lot of hard work for very little return (an album that goes 9-out).

Really interested to see how this performs too, I have zero expectations for it but looking at her Twitter page the comments are filled with screenshot responses of people having ordered multiple formats, if she’s managed 250 people in the UK buying all 4 formats that’s 1,000 sales already.

The picture disc is available at independents and will be stocked/up for pre-order at Amazon next week too.

The fact they are releasing the Initial Talk remix as a ‘single’ shortly makes me think the album/remixes will be added to iTunes and streaming which could pull in a few sales.

Its good it's getting a positive reaction, chart wise I'm not expecting much but it would be nice if it could squeeze its way into the top 100.

I am sure we will receive something similar for Girl.

And in my dreams some live dates to go along with both anniversaries!

It’s ‘only’ going to be a Boxset for ‘Girl’ via the Cherry Red label, they are working on licensing various things for it at the moment so hopefully it will be as complete as they can possibly make it.

Its good that there is at least something going in with Dannii;s back catalog, with dannii doing the new version of all i wanna do, the albums getting revisited and also her apperaance with Kylie doing all the lovers i wonder is dannii showing some interest in revisiting her music career again.

Now is the time for Dannii to return to music with lots of older acts making comebacks. If not now , I don’t see it ever happening.

Would be lovely to see Neon Nights rechart but 0 expectations.

I really would love her too but I don’t think she will - she seems happy to celebrate the milestones of her career and is proud of her achievements but she seems settled in Australia now and doing well with her clothing range at Target and QVC.

Relaunching a music career would mean she would have to be based in the UK which was always her biggest market and go on the promo trail.

I do hope however she gives us a show or 2 after the positive reaction to the NN and Girl vinyl re-issues.

To be honest, if she does make music again, I hope it's a return to her own club sound. I wasn't impressed with the two singles she released a few years ago.
The club sound would work best, it would be nice to see her try something but maybe its not on her radar and these releases for neon nights and girl are just to keep the fans happy.

Agree with this - Summer Of Love, Galaxy and Holding On are not songs I ever revisit, I’m even a bit meh about her remake of ‘All I Wanna Do’ - I listen to the original a lot but the remake doesn’t enhance the song for me.

I think everything she's done in the last few years when dipping her toes in the water is indicative that she doesn't have the budget or the resources to seek decent producers.
