April 20, 20187 yr Author ^^ Wake Me Up hits me really the hardest, it just sounds and has different meaning now :(
April 20, 20187 yr I just remembered he did this funky house bop early in his career with Sebastien Drums which I love! :music: dQ2-e9s2YBI
April 20, 20187 yr I was listening to Wake Me Up on my phone when I was walking home from school. So sad to hear the news.
April 20, 20187 yr I do wonder if there are any unreleased songs/collabs that haven't been released? If they are completed, I hope they are released, it's so sad to see him go. :(
April 20, 20187 yr Author He said, "One day you'll leave this world behind So live a life you will remember." My father told me when I was just a child These are the nights that never die My father told me. :snif: UtF6Jej8yb4
April 20, 20187 yr Agree with others, completely out of the blue, RIP. I think gooddelta mentions it earlier in the thread but in 2013 he could do no wrong, I don't necessarily think Wake Me Up has aged as well as I thought it would because the market for these songs became so saturated, but it really was absolutely massive. He has such a brilliant back catalogue, such a shame. Levels has got to be his best song surely though!? the amount of dance artists that got inspired by that song must be insane
April 20, 20187 yr I'm completely speechless to see this news. I legit thought this was one of those hoaxes at first but shit at it being real. I feel really sad about this as he still very young :( Wake Me Up, I Could Be The One & Hey Brother were his best for me. I liked Levels to some extent too.
April 20, 20187 yr Levels has got to be his best song surely though!? the amount of dance artists that got inspired by that song must be insane Absolutely!
April 20, 20187 yr Levels has got to be his best song surely though!? the amount of dance artists that got inspired by that song must be insanethe amount of songs that got inspiration from his catalogue though, like Good Feeling won’t leave you with a good feeling anymore :(
April 20, 20187 yr Nearly all of his songs are hitting me again this evening but particularly Dear Boy :( seKrfTa-3yk
April 20, 20187 yr the amount of songs that got inspiration from his catalogue though, like Good Feeling won’t leave you with a good feeling anymore :( I've spent the evening re-listening to his back catalogue.. Wake Me Up got me a little bit. Great song and I forget just how massive it was at the time. Silhouettes another big tune, did nothing for me at the time but I found love for it a few years ago. He really was on major form between 2011-2013.
April 21, 20187 yr I’m so sad this is awful news   This whole discography is full of such brilliant songs, he had such an inspiring way of creating such an innovative sound with heartfelt lyrics to accompany. I can’t believe this has happened to him at such a young age, my heart breaks for his family Edited April 21, 20187 yr by uoʇxǝ◖
April 21, 20187 yr Nearly all of his songs are hitting me again this evening but particularly Dear Boy :( seKrfTa-3yk :( Silhouettes is heartbreaking as well - a song all about positivity and looking forward, to now know that'll never happen. This, Levels, Silhouettes and I Could Be The One were all favourites of mine (the latter especially I have BIG memories of with friends), I'm just in shock that we'll get no more of that signature Avicii sound.
April 21, 20187 yr omg in tears rn - I actually don't know why this has hit me so hard just listening to his songs again. I feel SO bad for him :( So much promise.
April 21, 20187 yr ZT6360B5cK0 A highlight from the goldmine of brilliance that was True with Dan Reynolds
April 21, 20187 yr I love the remix he did of Rapture too. Way better for me than the iio version. GbVxvITmwIc That for me is his absolute finest piece as a music producer.
April 21, 20187 yr This is such sad news to read. Echoing everyone above that 28 is no age to die :( Sending thoughts to anyone affected and of course his family. RIP. "Seek Bromance" would probably be my favourite song of his <3
