If the question was: "Name a Spice Girl" Of the 43 people, 7 said Mel B. 1 is removed from the total people and the number of people who said Mel B. So the score would be (7-1)/(43-1) * 100 = (6 / 42) * 100 = 14 points (rounded to 0 decimal places. Say you were the only person to answer Geri Halliwell? The score given would be (1-1)/(43-1) * 100 = (0 / 42) * 100 = 0 points... i.e. a pointless answer! An incorrect answer will receive 100 points just like in the show. So the formula is (3-1)/(43-1) * 100 = (2/42) * 100 = 5 points.
